Stuart’s love of music and DJ’ing began at an early age which resulted in his first DJ gigs aged just 13. Throughout these early years Stuart honed his skills playing a mixture of early House, Soul, R ‘n’ B and Hip Hop at private parties in and around Kent. Somewhat inevitably, it was not long before Stuart was approached to become resident DJ at his local club; Nu Age. At Nu Age, Stuart manned the decks every Friday and Saturday night playing an upfront selection of House and US Garage grooves. Stuart’s obvious skills and enthusiasm eventually resulted in him being asked to become Promotions Manager as well as resident DJ at the Club, positions he held from 1990 to 1995.
While still at Nu Age, Stuart became involved with other local DJ's who were running a pirate radio station named Paradise FM. Playing cutting edge music from the massive rave scene and organizing ‘Paradise’ parties at another local venue kept Stuart very busy indeed! In addition, Stuart also held down regular guest spots in the ‘House’ arena at the now infamous 'Re-incarnation' raves.
In the mid-90’s Stuart landed another residency at one of Kents premier clubs; La Parisienne on the Kent coast. It was here at La Parisienne that Stuart first met up with long time friend and cohort, Jim Labisko. Stuart and Jim were given the opportunity to create a venue within the club; entitled the ‘Love Lounge’ it enabled them to play the music that they both enjoyed with a passion; US House, to a crowd of upfront clubbers. At this time, both Stuart and Jim became involved in the hugely popular parties; Juicy Tunes, Havin' It and Devious.
Stuart’s skills were now gaining him guest spots all over the UK such as at Passion in Leicester, Club UK in London and The Hippodrome in Colchester not forgetting gigs in Malta, Bulgaria and Ibiza.
After leaving La Parisienne Stuart took the reigns both as a DJ and Manager at the Music Factory and was responsible for another infamous event named Flavour of The Month which ran for two hedonistic years. Directly after his tenure at The Music Factory Stuart moved to Club RG1 in Reading and then to Enigma in Suffolk, again as resident DJ and Manager.
In more recent times, Stuart has left the world of Club Management to concentrate on his DJ career and this has been most successful in the guise of an event that Stuart runs with Jim Labisko and local legend Yorkie entitled Sexy Chocolate. Their event now runs at three separate venues in Kent, has guested at Turnmills and has been proud sponsor and title of their show on Ministry of Sound Radio in 2006. Now alot has happened since 2006, right here we go are you sitting comfortably?.......
