It all started at Sterns in the dim and distant past that was the early 90s, then carried on through Shelleys, The Eclipse, Lee Valley, Club UK, The Gardening Club, Bagleys, Slinky, Canden Palace and more dark and dingy clubs than I can possibily remember. I guess one day the body might send me amessage that it's time to quit, but until then, let's AV IT! After all, it's better to burn out than fade away!
These days I'm a regular at the Honey Club, especially for Hard South, and the Zap, both in Brighton. I also make sure I get to Glabal every year. And I'm SO happy that Slinky is back where it belongs, at The Opera House. Went to the last one in Portsmouth and it was rubbish. Slinky is the Opera House, and the Opera House is Slinky, end of story.
BTW the refurb at the Opera House is superb, apart from the fact that the cloak room only holds about 20 coats!
Last year's Global was fantastic, as ever, but the four inch deep mud across the whole site did make it a little bit hard work.
Can't wait to head back to Ibiza next summer to take in the closing parties.
DJs of the moment are Eddie Halliwell (obviously), Alex Kid, Gaz West and Marcel Woods. And of course myself, even though I haven't actually DJ'd anywhere but my own home since 1998.
