Scuff first found his love for electronic music way back in the late 90's listening in to radio 1 on friday and saturday nights with the lads over a few beers.Over this time the music he listened to change from trance,to progressive house and techno.
After going to festivle's like Creamfields,Gratecrasher and Homelands and seeing big don's like Carl Cox,Richie Hawtin,Dave Clarke move people in such a way,Scruff got himself a set of decks and has been playing ever since.He started off laying trance and progressive house and it wasn't untill 2003 till his music style changed.That November he went to the first Tribal gathering weekender in Southport and witnessed acts like Jon Carter,Plump DJ's,Layo & Bushwacka!,but the most influential to this day was Chicago's Derrick Carter.
It was the first time he had heard house music like it.This is when Scruff wanted to really get in to the house sound.from then on he was constantly looking for this 'Jakin' sound.

Now Scruff has far too many influences and artists that help him be the DJ he is today,but here's a few:Inland Knights,Mark farina,DJ Heather,Joey Youngman,LCG,Jason Hodges,Greenskeepers,Jay West,Littlemen,Mario Fabriani and of course Derrick Carter,plus many many more!!!

He is now a resident for JakintheHouse in London and is starting to spin at some top venues across the country including The Egg,Club Aquarium,The Loft and Bar Below .It's his time now!!!
