A Brief Biography.
Jamesy first got into dance music when he was just 13 listening to DJs from the early UK Hardcore and Jungle scene, and got his first set of decks at 15. Since then Jamesy had progressed into trance, techno and house music.
He got his first residency at just 19 for the legendary Brunel Rooms nightclub in Swindon, UK where he still resides today. Being resident at this venue gave him the opportunity to play every single month for massive nights such as Slinky, Serious, Sundissential, Goodgreef, WiLDCHiLD and many others who all held events at this club, with Serious being the longest running as resident for a whole year. Jamesy has also played at many other club nights around the UK including Passion, Wildchild London, Slinky Tours, Dance Academy and Turnmills as well as holding another residency for Se7enth Heaven in Cardiff, Wales. During this time he has been able to play alongside most of the leading DJs on the dance scene such as Eddie Halliwell, John Askew, Nu Nrg , Judge Jules, Matt Hardwick, Adam Sheridan, Fergie, Jon OBir, Riley & Durrant, Thrillseekers, Solarstone, Scott Bond, Lisa Lashes and many many more.
Other highlights have included him coming runners up in Guy Ornadel's Ministry of Sound DJ competition in 2004 and also having one of his previous trance mixes aired on Paul van Dyk's Soundgarden radio show in 2002. Plus various other magazine entries and radio show guest slots.
More recently his residency for the Brunel Rooms nightclub has involved Jamesy playing for the mighty Gatecrasher tours that have been held there. He also works for one of the UKs leading trance labels Monster Tunes and also the newly launched CDJshop.com, which is a joint venture between Monster Tunes and Anjunabeats.
With his paramount DJ experience now covering 10 years since he first started he is well equipped to perform at any level. On the production front he has been slower off the mark, however, now studying a full time music production course he is planning to put all his effort into becoming a future star on the dance scene with his productions.
Peace!
