The Viceroy is a rapidly rising star in clubland. Picked by Londons number 1 club night The Gallery as part of their 2006 Nu Breed along with Sander van Doorn, John Askew and Gavyn Mytchel, The Viceroy has already enjoyed huge success and is still only 20 years old.
Resident at The Gallery for Vaccine, The Viceroy helped steer the night from its Thursday night slot to hosting a room at The Gallery and is seen playing monthly and booking the best new talent and UK debuts from the likes of Yahel, Flash Brothers, Matthew Dekay, Fabio Stein, Ronald van Gelderen, Cosmic Gate, Yves De Reuyter, Marcel Woods, Kyau vs Albert, Simon Patterson, Jon O Bir, Ernesto vs Bastian, Martin Roth, Kuffdam and Plant Live, Fred Baker, Alex MORPH and many more.
The Viceroy has also represented The Gallery at several of its out of town events including its residencies at The Honey Club in Brighton, The Mission in Leeds and Love Leeds Festival as well as regular appearences in the illustrous Gallery main room most notably playing for Marco V's album launch party in 2006 and a forthcoming booking for the residents room at The Gallery's 12 th Birthday
He is also seen Djing regularly at events and club nights across the UK and beyond. Highlights have included a tour of Russia and the Ukraine in 2004, The Escape into the Park Launch party in 2005 and NYE 2005 at Brixton Academy. As well as sets for Serious, Heat, Wildchild and Trance Generation, The Viceroy has already played alongside DJs such as Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren, Judge Jules, Mauro Picotto, Eddie Halliwell, Marco V, Above and Beyond and Sander van Doorn to name but a few.
Not just a successful DJ, 2006 saw The Viceroy hit the studio with a series of collaborations and solo records. Early 2006 saw The Viceroy vs Karl G 'Perception' receive massive support from, amongst others, the world number 1 DJ Paul van Dyk and was given a remix by Kuffdam and Plant for the debut release on Vaccine Digital.
The Viceroy and Ehren Stowers 'Way of Life' was snapped up by Monster Tunes after only one play to the label boss for a full vinyl release in early 2007. The Viceroy also teamed up with up and coming producer Frase for a full on tech monster in the shape of 'Search Warrant' which has been a staple track in the wallet of Marco V over 2006 and is set for a release on Elektrotek Digital in early 2007
The Viceroy's first solo track 'End Game' was signed by label boss John Askew for his Flux Delux label and also features on the forthcoming Live As 2 compilation with an exclusive John O Callaghan reedit. Askew also signed 'Affirmative Action' to his personal Discover Dark imprint with a massive Fabio Stein mix forthcoming in mid 2007. Remixes have seen The Viceroy's re rerub of classic Para Mi - Motivation hammered across the world by the likes of Above and Beyond and many more and his remix of Frontline -'Surface to Air' forthcoming on Flux.
Hotly tipped by the likes of The Gallery and having already achieved a great deal The Viceroy looks set to continue his assault on the scene in 2007 and is certainly a name to watch out for.
