So Trevor how long have you been DJing and how did you get into it?
I have been into dance music of one form or another ever since I can remember. I started off listening to those dreamscape tape packs back in 94 when I was 12 so I guess it was from there that I had an interest in mixing - however, it wasn't until 2002 when I got my first set of decks after seeing Judge Jules smash it at Northampton University - I used to be a fan of his radio show, (shame on me )I haven't actually been DJing that long - I was given my first set in Croydon about 18 months ago
What kind of style do you play?
I guess I play the spectrum of hard dance - I like to mix it up, combine styles. My passion definitely lies with UK hard trance but it won't be unusual to find me playing stuff with a much darker tone. I am absolutely loving Iridium's stuff at the moment - he seems to have nailed the dark, sinister sounding hard trance - a very unique sound which I love incorporating in my sets then, there's the uplifting stuff, and you don't really have to look further than Technikal or more recently, sq - big, big fan of both of their stuff
Why hard dance?
Again, it was the fault of Judge Jules! I first heard hard house in 2001 when Lisa Lashes played at his night, Judgement Sunday at Eden, Ibiza - I was blown away by the sound. I hadn't heard anything quite like it, with so much energy and so uplifting.
