If you’re into hard dance, you will no doubt have heard the name and the music, and like me, want to know more about the man behind it all. Italy isn’t renown for it’s hard dance, so I was curious about his origins and how it all came about. Luca has done not one but two remixes for my first release on Siren Trax “Anne Savage – I Can’t Hear Ya”

I must point out at this stage that Luca’s English is limited, and my Italian is likewise so we couldn’t go as deep as I’m sure we both would have liked but between us we came up with the following….

A) Hi Luca, thanks for letting your English fans into your life a little. Can you tell us where about in Italy you are from and what it is like?

L) I live in Bologna, North Italy and it’s a beautiful city

A) Where are you djing this summer?

L) I play many clubs in Rimini, Venice, Savona, Genova, Brescia, and Milan. In August I will be in Hungary for the first time with my team called ‘L.A.Team’ then I’ll be back in Australia.

A) What are the festivals like in Italy where you play?

L) There are some beautiful and others so so…also here in Italy there are some difficulties, especially for my sound…but I’m sure our sound will be back soon.

A) What was you best ever gig?

L) Of course all gigs in Holland like Q-Base, DEFQON1, Exclusive, etc but also here in Italy I had many amazing parties.

A) How and why did you start to make music and DJ?

L) I was very young 17 years old, the music always drove me, it’s inside me.

A) Your music has become very popular in the UK, have you ever visited the UK and do you have any plans to dj in the UK?

L) Well yes I am aware of my popularity in the UK but I haven’t been yet for different reasons..I really want to come and now I think is the right time for me especially now I know I have friends on the scene there like Anne Savage, Lisa Lashes, Phil York and Stuart Jackson…

A) Who or what gives you inspiration to write your music?

L) The quiet times are better to think about new ideas and build new melodies and sometimes when I sleep Lol

A) What new projects/music productions are you working on?

L) A lot of songs in various styles with my partners Ricky and Gilbert who are always close to me

A) Where should someone from the UK visit in Italy for the best clubbing experience?

L) That would depend what style of music you want…Cororico, Rimini (Electro) Kamasutra, Venice (Electro/Trance) and many more. Hard Dance I suggest events like Dorian Gray

A) Finally where and how can people hear and buy your music?

L) On all the usual digital stores like Trackitdown, Beatport, DJDownload etc Vinyl from German Trance, Recess, Desk etc
