Hard House Academy - THANK YOU!
Hard House Academy - Wow what a night!

Thank YOU the Frantic Faithful! Thanks to everyone that attended HHA and making it yet another amazing Frantic night and helping us celebrate our 9th year of HHA. We hope you all had a great time at The O2 Academy Brixton and for those of you who are still carrying on at the afterparty, we hope you enjoy the crack on!

Thanks to all the DJs for performing, there were some really stand out sets including Welsh wizards Cally & Juice new LIVE PA.

Thanks to all the ticket sellers, crews and all staff who worked on the night to ensure the event was a success, we always appreciate what you do for Frantic.

Big thanks to O2 Academy Brixton Management, Staff and Security for accommodating us again for yet another HHA.

Thanks to all the Production teams for a stand out stage show, the lighting and sound was truly immense!

Thanks to Twisted Entertainment for such a fantastic performance! Also thanks to Twisted Bliss and Contagious Dancers.

Thank you to the film crew for filming the event including some hilarious artist interviews, watch this space for the video coming soon!

We loved the effort made with the Circus theme, there were some seriously freaky clown costumes and all sorts of different fun Circus outfits. We can't wait to see the photos!

We would like to apologise for those of you who waited in the ticket collection queue for longer than usual. Next time we will use the front entrance for those of you collecting your tickets for the event ensuring the process is a lot quicker.

We'd love to hear what you thought of this years HHA. Who rocked it for you? What did you think of this years production and performances? Please send any feedback you have to willfrantic@yahoo.co.uk.

Next up for Frantic is the massive NYE shindig at Hidden on Thursday 31st December, we're looking forward to moving into 2010 with you!

People should perhaps looking at what they are getting and if it's not their bag choose an event that is.
At Twist we never have any complaints. People know exactly what they are gonna get and it aint hard style E V A. ;-)

However the days of filling a place like the academy with just hard house are probally over so hats off to Frantic for trying to enlarge the audience but imo it don't work. Strange that the 2 sounds are so far apart but not so far apart if ya get me!

I was leaving comments on page 5 or so of this thread and have just got back on top check up on what's being said.... and it's still the same argument going round and round.
Since I last checked I went to Westfest and had probably one of the best nights in my 13 years of clubbing.
Frantic and Awsum teamed up and had their own room playing hard house and hard trance and Bionic had their very own room room playing hardstyle which i spent 2 mins in.
It's not that Im not open to trying different genres, like I'm sure most hard style haters aren't either - we have tried it and JUST DONT LIKE IT!
Hell... I even found my self wondering, dancing with the Drum & Bass hooded nazis for a while at Westfest for a laugh. My girlfriend dragged me in to listen to Hixxy play in front of 4000 people and after 10 minutes I was loving it.
As I mentioned, I didn't go HHA as I knew I would hate it but thank you Will and Awsum for a the best night ever at Westfest. That in my mind is how it should be done with a class A hard house line-up and Hardstyle completly in a different room.

How about we have a room for each genre and have one artist (international/special guest) from each genre on the mainstage??

I think that would be a fair comprimise

That's because you're always propping up the bar......
I imagine, "was that a large one?" can start to sound a little monotonous

One last thing please note the times we're in. Events are generally quieter than normal across the board. This has nothing to do with line-ups or styles of music. This is the global recession (created by the media IMO but don't get me started on that, lol!).

No disrespect, but Bullshit! Glowball is always packed out.

Many many people are not going to Frantic anymore because of the line up in the main room. That is why their ticket sales are down and that is why so many people who do go are leaving early and are so fucking pissed off.

If we wanted to get dressed up in dark clothes and take a visit to the dark side to have a stomp to dark industrial noise, then yeah we would go to the likes of Bionic or whatever events play this type of music.

But for Frantic now its all about that dark, grinding industrial sound. Its all about the dark side and I for one just don'want to go there. I want to dance and be happy and I want music I can dance to.

Thats why I love hardhouse and hardtrance.

Frantic is a load of shit and there's no thought given to any type of musical progression in the main room. They've just stuck the usual filth DJ's in the tiny Foyer and the hardhouse DJ's in the even tinier vinyl room. Or at Tranzmission, they jsut didn't even bother with any hard house after Cally Gage.

I am sick to death of you hardstyle / industrial noise fans and DJ's defending the fact that you have hijacked Frantic and infected us with your horrible noise and ruined our nights.

Just go away and put on your own nights. And call it Hardstyle Academy and rebrand Frantic as the newest biggest promoters of hardstyle / euro hard noise.

End Of!!!

You do talk a load of nonsense!

How can FANS hijack a BRAND?

Frantic chose to run their events as they wish. No-one is forcing them.
FRANTIC chose the lineup. Not fans of hardstyle. They didn't hold a gun to their heads and demand "industrial noise".

Now that you have realised this, perhaps you could then use what some of us call "common sense" and just NOT GO TO EVENTS THAT YOU WONT LIKE.
It's blindingly obvious from the lineup what the music types will be.
Why complain about something that:

a) you can't change
b) is nothing to do with you
c) you can simply avoid if you don't like it

Quite why people get all horny on their keyboards fighting a battle that can't be "won", I have no idea.
If you don't like it, don't go.
I really can't simplify it any more for you.

If you don't like it, don't go - and if you can do so much better, do it yourself

This is beyond pathetic

oh, are hardstyle fans not meant to wear bright colours..? not all hardstyle fans are goths you know!

infected us with your horrible noise and ruined our nights.

over-exagerrating a little there maybe..?!

hard style has it's place in the musical range that makes up hard dance, but HHA is a hard HOUSE night, so it should be playing bouncy, fun, uplifting hard HOUSE in main room and other variations like twist style filth in the other spaces. If we wanted to listen to hardstyle we would goto a hardstyle night. Hardcore and Hardstyle might be interchangeable in night, but there's no space for hardcore or hardstyle at a hard house night

but...

The people who RUN the event can do whatever they like. It's not illegal to use a NAME for an event that's been going for nine years, but have some music playing that doesn't "match" that name according to what you think does and doesn't match.

I'm a hard house kinda guy, but I was quite happy to get down to some banging hardstyle on the night.
Stop being so anal and you might actually enjoy the night a bit more!

HHA is a hard HOUSE night
No. It's a NAME of an EVENT. The music is defined by the LINEUP which has been plastered all over the Internet for ages.

If I came up to you in the street and offered you a "pot of gold worth 1 million pounds" for a fiver, would you just take my word for it and hand over your (slightly rolled) fiver? (If you would, then please let me know where you wanna meet, I have loads of these pots and various other goodies that we can trade for silly money)

Good stuff. The ones who are on here complaining are likely to be the minority; I hope Frantic don't pay too much heed to it. There's no need to backtrack and stop inviting harder DJs to play. Hardstyle seems to be becoming so much more celebrated as more people hear it in clubs and love it.

I was bored of clubbing and hardstyle has completely got me back into it and brought the love back for me. I didn't go clubbing for ages and now I have so many events planned till NYE. For events playing other amazing genres like psytrance and hard dance also, not just hardstyle, but it's hardstyle that inspired the change!

New and exciting genres breathe fresh air into the club scene, not kill it!
