If the climax in this track is not uplifting then...

that's not uplifting either!. its too heavy and dark and moody. its not bouncy happy and bright like the other track suggested!.

I think we all should agree to disagree as we clearly aren't getting anywhere! and i'm starting to get a fowl taste of dog meat in my mouth :0P

lol only if its pedigree chum ;o) lol!! i dunno, i guess im just an old skewl hard house kid . . . but i think Frantic shud defo start doing seperate hardstyle events if thats a route they want to pursue and then it allows them to do this whole popularity thing they seem to have at the moment! =)

see i dont think its uplifting in the slightest either, but then your a 100% hardstyle... and this is where the problem lies! the Frantic faithfull like the old skewl hard house sound, that feeling that goes with tracks like 'till tears do us part' by till tears do us part, the bounce of tracks like 'Can't beat the system' by john whiteman, 'lookin good' by Lashes and 'screwdriver' by Rachel Auburn - for me this is the Old skewl hard house sound and this sound is still alive, so why replace it just because something else has become popular??

ok so times change, and even the hard house of NOW is very different to how it used to be - but its still far removed from hardstyle! they're not even on the same page!

I'm not by any means slating hardstyle; its a competlely different genre, and i respect that.

But imagine; you've been going to a hardstyle event for years and suddenly you realize your not hearing the tunes you love any more. If anything the big frantic events (for me, personally - i dont know other peoples views!) should be about Hard House classics; those old skewl stomping hard house tunes everyone knows and loves! ok so we have Timeless, which is always great. but thats surely what Frantics main events should be about - the tunes that MADE frantic in the first place...

I think this is the problem, it's a lovely ideallistic concept - but at the end if the day if not enough people want to hear this (and Will's survival shows that he's a very astute businessman) the event is not a success and it doesn't continue...

It's all very well knocking this "popularity" thing but it's a business it's that simple...

Think about it from our point of view...

You go to Clubs every weekend just hoping to hear an hour (sometimes only half an hour) of the music you love...you travel all over the UK (and world) supporting your music for years!

...and finally a well known brand name (frantic) decides to give the music you love a chance!

Your able to experience your music on the main stage rather than in the smallest room at the last hour, which usually gets cut off short....

maybe with better organisation skills it could of progressed better and other people might of enjoyed it more... but for us its ten steps forward :)

But Timeless is always so, so rammed and is seen by many as frantics best event which does go to show that the majority are going for the hard house classics; again at Harder nation, the atmosphere at the afterparty was a damn sight more alive when caz wood, helen G, Rob Tissera and James ellis were playing what shud have really been played at HHA.

I guess it's all swings & roundabouts, theres never gonna be a way to please everyone . . .

I guess it is easy to forget that aspect of itwith all things considered...

Ha ha ... the point is it still says "Heinz" on the bloody label... and oh my god, they now do Spaghetti hoops as well as beans, oh and those horrible sausages mixed in with the beans... and do we really know what's inside those sausages?!!.. . damn.. maybe they should set up a seperate company name for each flavour they do?

i'll eat anything ;)

This is exactly why ur arguing ur points so much mate(they are funny tho). Frantic are just experimenting wiv Hardstyle so people shuldn't cry to much about it. Like I said earlier, If I had my way Bionic wud be 100% Hardstyle but it ain't gona happen now...

I'm not by any means slating hardstyle; its a competlely different genre, and i respect that

I think u've been more or less slating Hardstyle for the past 2 or more pages in this thread fella

But imagine; you've been going to a hardstyle event for years and suddenly you realize your not hearing the tunes you love any more.

I don't need to imagine mate, Bionic has been a Hardstyle event for years & years and then European Hard Trance. There's too much Hard House in Bionic even now mate (which ain't too much) but it's too much for me. Thing is, I've had to deal with it like u have to deal with more & more & even more Hardstyle hitting London lol!! I know how gutted u are but thats why it's funny...

Listen to Golly peeps, she knows her Hardstyle x

Ya know i guess all this boils down to in the long run, is the fact that everyone has different tastes.

Frantic has always been about hard house. thats all there is to it. i dont really see any more reason to argue the fact.

people go to Frantic beacause they want hard house.

The half empty dance floor at HHA9 was due to the lack of hard house.

Frantic's most popular event is Timeless, dedicated to hard house classics.

Am I the only person in the world who sees a pattern?
If Frantic are wanting to embrace hardstyle, then put on specific events. It really is as simple as that! they seem to have axed the hard dance showcase concept now, so why not use say one friday night or saturday night a month for a hardstyle night? they have hidden core, for hardcore fans, so why not do a specific hardstyle night?

lucy, that last track STARTED. then that hardstyle drone beat kicked in and it killed it for me!

And here in lies our problem, I don't agree, Frantic obviously don't agree, and I'd imagine there are a good few other people out there who don't agree.....

(Unfortunately we seem to have run out of circles to run around in, and I've got another 8 hrs of boredom to handle - can we find something else to argue about now pleeeeeease :-D )

I think it's fukin great Frantic follower's actually saw the likes of 'Activator' even if some didn't know him or like him. Wat a great booking which I never saw coming. It's just a small step but it's in the right direction... People have flew off the handle but as sum1 said it's only '1 or 2 years' Frantic has been playing Hardstyle so it's going to slowly progress...

The one thing Frantic have done is to totally stick Hardhouse to the back of their priorities with no thought or consideration of music policy or its respective fans. Hardhouse ravers just don't get hardstyle and it doesnt follow any logical musical progression to start off a night with uplifting hardhouse in the mainroom to follow it with grinding industrial hardstyle. In case the Frantic team are completely blind and havn't noticed, when the hardstyle comes on the main room is cleared and ends up half empty. Clearly there are a lot less hardstyle fans attending these events than there are hardhouse fans (who have made up Frantic's loyal fanbase for the part 10-12 years).

So lets vote with our pockets. I'm not going to Tranzmission. Will has already stated that the headliners will again be Euro Hardstyle. And that just means another dissapointed and early night for me. Fine if Frantic continues to totally disregard the oppinions of their followers, lets just wait and see how quickly ticket sales are going to fall for any events where they insist on having hardhouse followed by hardstyle in the main room. With just no thought whatsover put into the lineup or consideration to fans of either genre.

The only solution is to either have seperate rooms, and if its hardstyle acts that are going to headline, then bill it as a hardstyle night and dont even bother trying to stick a few hardhouse acts in there at 9pm to attract the hardhouse fans. Because we aint going to bother going.

And can I just say to all the hardstyle fans that this isnt a dissing of your music, its just that it doesnt sit well with hardhouse and the 2 genres just dont belong in the same room. I also have lots of friends who are completely into Hardstyle and its what they love. But I would never go to one of their events.
