What is Chew The Fat!?

Welcome to Chew The Fat! on DSI!

ROOM 1 - Chew the Fat! present:
D.I.M. (Turbo/Boys Noize)
Miles Dyson LIVE (Plasma Pool)
Bobmo (Institubes)
Disco of Doom (Coco Machete)
(Warm up competition winner)

ROOM 2 - Z Shed present:
Foamo (Fat! Resident)
Reso
Akira Kiteshi
Pirate Soundsystem
The Squire of Gothos

Chew the Fat! goes techno, techno, techno, in July as it welcomes the mighty D.I.M. for his only UK club date this summer. Electro-house don Miles Dyson showcases his new live set while France’s Bobmo, fresh from working with Surkin as the High Powered Boys, bring his evil French funk to the decks. They’re joined by noise merchants Disco of Doom aka Tom Real and The Rogue Element.

Next door in the Z-Shed, it’s back to the bass with the finest in bassline, dubstep and other low-end frequencies from Reso, Akira Kiteshi, Pirate Soundsystem, The Squire of Gothos and Fat! prodigy and exclusive resident, Foamo. He’ll take your brain to another dimension.

Street Artists Don, Eyesaw and DanK paint live on the night, taking the Chew the Fat! identity as their starting point and creating an exclusive piece each. This will be auctioned off a week later and a limited run of their exclusive designs available as t-shirts via the shop on The Fat! Club blog.

D.I.M. (Turbo / Boysnoize) – Signed to labels run by electro big-shots Tiga and Boys Noize, D.I.M. arrives fresh off the release of his hotly anticipated new single ‘Lyposuct’. His huge electro techno sound has made him an in demand remixer, working his magic on clubland’s coolest labels including Institubes, Modular, Kitsune, Relish and Skint, and seen him tour the world with his energetic DJ set.

MILES DYSON (Plasmapool) – With an international DJ diary that reads like a travel brochure, Miles had his first residency at age 13. In1999 he won the European DJ-championships and in 2003 Producer of the Year after spending 30 weeks at number 1 in Switzerland. His Plasmapool label provides the outlet for his dirty, grinding electro sound and has seen Dave Spoon label him the most exciting producer around.

BOBMO (Institubes) – Born from a love of Detroit techno, Miami bass, electro and, most importantly, Chicago house, Bobmo’s hyper-kinetic productions have gathered fans ranging from Sinden and Diplo to Justice, MSTRKRFT and Busy P. Also half of High Powered Boys with label mate Surkin, his last set at Fat! blew everyone away.

DISCO OF DOOM (Coco Machete) –Bringing together seasoned producers Tom Real & The Rogue Element, Disco of Doom is our first electro supergroup. With their first EP supported by the likes of AutoKratz, Tronik Youth, Etienne De Crecy and Alex Metric, a second is imminent on Coco Machete with remixes for Si Begg and Etienne De Crecy also in the pipe-line.

**Chew the Fat! are running a competition to win a warm-up set in the main room playing alongside this amazing line-up. For full details visit www.thefatclub.com where you can also find exclusive mixes, tracks, interviews and videos.

Z SHED present... – The home of big bass, Z-Shed leave the Hub Club to join Fat! with a line-up so heavy we’ve reinforced the dancefloor. Headliner Reso might be the undisputed king of glitchy industrial dubstep but he’s joined by rising star, Akira Kiteshi, who in a very short time has already notched-up a Radio One set, as well as numerous plays and accolades. Fat! regulars Pirate Soundsystem drop the bassline pressure, along with some classics from their trusty catalogue of bootlegs, while fellow rave-merchant The Squire of Gothos travel down from Sheffield. They’re all joined by exclusive Fat! resident, Foamo.
