After a rammed re-launch party in March, Chew the Fat! return to The Arches in association with We Fear Silence. In the main room, Lee Mortimer heads an all-star line-up taken from his trend-setting Wearhouse Label, while Hyp!Hyp!Hyp! return to room two with an eclectic mix of bass-heavy sounds.

FOAMO – Raised on a diet of drum and bass, dubstep, grime and garage in, where else, but High Wycombe, 21 year-old Foamo exploded onto the fidget house scene when his track ‘Moving It Over Here’ was championed by Kissy Sell Out on Radio One. Releasing the most successful track on Lee Mortimer’s Wearhouse records, he’s since remixed Primary One, MSTRKRFT and The Mystery Jets becoming an in-demand DJ across the UK and Europe. His latest remix of Man Like Me’s ‘London Town’ looks a strong contender to become tune of the summer.

LEE MORTIMER – Lee Mortimer AKA Sawtooth Sucka has been making waves around the world with his productions and DJ sets for some time now. A regular at Ministry of Sound, his bass heavy house has appeared on forward-thinking labels such as CR2, Front Room Recordings, Made To Play and Dubsided and won him acclaim from the likes of Annie Mac and Switch. Now concentrating on his own Wearhouse Label, his A&R skills and continued stream of top quality releases has continued to DJs as diverse as Crookers and Pete Tong to a growing fan base.

JAIMIE FANATIC – Having spun for crowds of up to 20,000 in Holland, Jaimie Fanatic is the bad boy of Dutch house music. With headline gigs around the world, he recently remixed Human Resource’s techno classic ‘Dominator’ and is currently working closely with Southern Fried records providing forthcoming remixes for none other than Fatboy Slim, Armand Van Helden and Calvin Harris. A further EP on Mad Decent and collaboration with Wu Tang Clan show the kind of raucous hip-hop spirit he brings to house and which always guarantees a night of booty shaking action.

TREVOR LOVEYS – Renowned for his collaborations with contemporaries such as Hervé and Dave ‘Switch’ Taylor, Trevor’s many monikers include Speaker Junk, House of 909, Izit? and Li’ll Bo Tweak. Recently launching his own label, Tragic Magic, he’s remixed everyone from Roisin Murphy to A-Trak, and is a genuine pioneer of the jacking house sound now conquering the globe. Keep your eyes peeled for plenty of releases as well as Trevor’s debut mix compilation coming soon!

ZODIAC CARTEL – Zodiac Cartel burst onto the scene in 2006 with the shredding ‘Devil’s Music’ on Lot49 and the massive selling remix of Elite Force’s ‘Used & Abused’ on U&A Recordings. Following high-profile remixes for the likes of Rennie Pilgrim, Sawtooth Sucker and Fukkk Off, his new ‘Weapons of Choice’ series of bootlegs which has earned him Radio One play from Kissy Sell Out. So far he has protected his anonymity (it’s no secret that he has a long and distinguished back catalogue of releases under other names) in order to let the music alone do the talking.

CALVERTRON - Calvertron is the alter ego of established UK techno artist Alex Calver. Also one half of Twockers, his productions mix heavy bass, old school rave attitude and warm electro for an irresistible dance-floor friendly sound that’s been heavily supported by DJs like Micky Finn and Laidback Luke.

HEY JOE – The eyes, ears and fingers behind The Fat Club blog, Joe ran the lounge of Chew the Fat! at The End, before taking up monthly residence as warm-up DJ in the main room. His first single is coming soon on Catzmusik records.
