SuperStyleDeluxe (Dan Holmes & Neil Simons) are responsible for many of the floor rocking break beats and mid tempo hits that keep the booty shaking. "Making music you can dance too" has been the aim and motto since the whole concept began starting with the mass production of mix tapes titled SuperStyleDeluxe and adventuring into the realms of hip hop- Breaks Disco etc, all laden with a sprinkle of Turntableism.

A barrow load of releases followed all gaining props from the Plump Dj's, Krafty Kuts and Mr Scruff for their unique sound and diverse approach to making dance records. Remixes have seen Dido, Bent, Venus Hum, Reno, Pink, & The Strike Boys to name but a few to receive the SuperStyleDeluxe treatment. The pair achieved great praise with Breakspoll nominations, number one chartings and worldwide exposure with their releases and heavy touring to Europe, Canada, Australia and Asia has placed them among the top DJ/ Mc acts.

Flore was first noticed by French music lovers in 1998. At this time, her drum’ n bass sets were very influenced by labels such as 31Records and Metalheadz and her gig by the side of DJ Krust (Full Cycle) showed her the way permitting her to play with Amon Tobin (Ninja Tune), Freddy Fresh, Ed Rush (Virus records), Gilles Peterson and in 2000 she started to play everywhere in France.

In 2003, she started playing Nu-breaks and is fast noticed by le “Printemps de Bourges” as an electronic music upcoming artist. At the same time, her first release comes out on Dark Fish records, a bootleg of the famous MARRS track “pump up the volume”, which is soon acclaimed by big breaks DJ names such as Plump DJs & Soul of Man (Fingerlikin) or Freq Nasty (Skint).

This allowed her to start an international career playing in Berlin, Lausanne and Sardinia. In 2004 she signed on Lab-rok records and her release “boogie child” received huge support by Rennie Pilgrem & and the Drumattic Twins. After preaching her music & culture for several years Flore is one of the most famous French DJs and spread the word in every part of Europe.

Future Funk Squad was born in 1999 when Glen accidentally stumbled upon the 'Nu-skool' sound by making a d'n'b track too slow! This was released on a limited number of whites and was instantly picked up by the likes of DJ Hyper, Jody 'Way Out West', Tipper, Lee Burridge and many more. His debut remix of the Raze classic 'Break 4 love' put him firmly on the breaks map and is still played today by the likes of the Stanton Warriors & Terminal Head amongst others.

Hot of the heels of remixes for UNKLE, HYBRID, THE PRODIGY, MYLO and many more his DJ Sets are a slammin piece of break beat funk that always get the crowd rocking. He has DJ'd all over the globe & will be doing a special back to back set here.

Tamsin has been on the scene since before break beat started, she started spinning jazz funk tunes on school discos in mid 80's, and from then went straight to playing alongside Trevor Fung, Collin Favor and Carl Cox. She was an original member of the Fresh and Funky crew playing a hybrid mix of hip-hop, funk and house which led her into the emerging dance scene of the late 80's.

To name her residencies thru the decades of dance music we would need a page on its own, so let’s mention a few like Babylon at Heaven and d’n’b Sunday Roast. During the day Tamsin worked as studio engineer at Power Plant Studios, honing her production skills, released records on various labels such TCR label as part of Breakneck. She is one of the London Breakz Records founders, has a radio show on Breaks FM and played all over the world. What more to say? She is the mother of break beat.

After talking his way into a job co-producing Tayo’s Dread At The Controls show on Kiss 100 Sick Rick met Dom B of the Stanton Warriors. He was made resident at their Stanton Sessions nights at Fabric and impressed with his subtle warm-up selections, so he was asked back and has since played the club eight times in the last year, alongside the likes of Justice, Booka Shade, Plump DJs and DJ Yoda capping 2007 by playing their New Years Eve party.

At the same time Rick also began to forge a studio partnership with Marine Parade’s Alex Metric and the two collaborated on ‘Space Hopper’ which picked up plays from all the big breaks DJs and was signed to Stanton Warriors’ Beats label. The duo are also responsible for some huge edits with their rework of Booka Shade’s ‘Mandarine Girl’ finding it’s way to the 30th Fabriclive compilation. Rick was named ‘One To Watch in 2007’ by iDJ magazine and add to this by promptly licensing the track ‘Spread’ to General Midi’s Y4K compilation (under his and Alex Metric’s new What What What alter-ego), and completing a huge remix of Stanton Warriors’ ‘Seeker’ track.

Originally from Czech Republic with Russian blood to spice it up, Mini Da Minx has since 2002 spent 4 years in Cape Town, South Africa, pushing breaks and underground music on the South African dance scene. She hosted numerous events and played peak time sets at some of South Africa's biggest festivals - OPPI KOPPI, CAPE TOWN and the OBS FESTIVALS. Annual mini tours of Europe have added to a busy schedule, including headlining in Paris, Edinburgh and Czech.

She has caused a storm since arriving in London 2 years ago, gathering fellow ladies for UK editions of Chix in da Mix with results such as playing in Turnmills with Hybrid and Nick Warren. One of Minxy's latest achievements was reaching the finals in prestigious D-joust competition. You saw her spinning across the London and rest of UK on parties such as Eurocultured Festival in Manchester, UTI Sheffield, rocking boats on Thames at Drunken Masters and Republic parties and many more.

Wreckage acquired the tag when creating warehouse parties in the 80’s with Legendary Art terrorists the Mutoid Waste Company. He was making scrap metal sculptures and performing as a percussionist throughout the Acid scene, providing a platform for outfits such as S Express, Soul to Soul, Adeva and On U Sound System. On the underground scene, he’s performed at illegal raves all over Europe for about 18 years. Free-styled on stage with Africa Bambatta, released and toured extensively with Wall of Sound (when they were good) and DJ’d from Canada to Tokyo.

He also ran the first breaks clubs in Scotland, introducing the likes of Meat Katie, Lee Coombs, the Plumps and the whole Finger Lickin’ stable. His sound is well eclectic, from Mantovani to Trentemoller. The only thing that gets him out of bed in the morning is Jack and Daniels.

You may have had a chance to hear Anna B 's sets at nights such as 'Blow', 'The Drop Off' or 'Chix in da Mix'. She has her own deep atmospheric style, where you can hear the heavy influence of Layo & Buswacka sounds combined with the charisma she brings to the (turn) tables. Not afraid to play underrated break beat jems of the past and present, the emphasis is always on groovy, organic sounding beats and melody. Her musical motto? 'Play from the Soul...and never Underestimate the Power of the B-side!

One side of Mjoogoo is Francesco Giuffrida, PHD in Robotics, on the other side a long musical career in Italy as Sound Engineer and Musician (Bass), that took him to the publication of 2 LPs and 5 12” plus many compilations. The music genre changed growing from Hip Hop slowly to Dance (Drum and Bass), to Big Beat, Garage and at the end Breaks! He Landed in London in Feb 2001 and soon found himself concentrating on playing mainly breaks & tech-house. In 2004 he played in Ibiza & then discovered nsbradio.co.uk & started broadcasting “The Highheels Sessions” which in February 2006 & 2007 was nominated in the 6 best Radio Shows of Breaks.

Fifties is graphic designer and DJ currently residing in the midlands of England and whose standout young talent has seen her mix tapes featured in both iDJ's Raw Talent Competition and DJ Magazine's Pick n' Mix competition.
She is well known for playing lots of different styles of music, breaks, tech-house, electro and techno, blending it into her own style. You can catch her playing at various nights in and about town including Moda who recently hosted the Radio 1 Essential Mix as part of the ‘BBC Introducing' tour.

McQueen is a founder member and resident of the legendary Technique in Leeds, alongside Chew The Fat's Kid Blue, and more recently the increasingly acclaimed Social in London. Over the last nine years McQueen has cut his teeth spinning the best in underground breaks, house, techno and electro and has played with a huge range of djs and producers from across the spectrum of underground dance music both around the UK , and abroad in Spain, Poland , Japan and Ukraine, most notably at Tokyo's Womb and Air clubs with Meat Katie and Koma & Bones. Alex's own productions have recieved airplay from Annie Nightingale and he has recently been signed to emerging breakbeat label, Edit Records. His first release on Edit was released on May 12th, and there are more tracks in the pipeline on their way. Lady Jane has worked at Universal Music, Zomba Records, run her own artist management agency 'Siren' and now Label Manager of Mr Bongo Records, so influences and record collection span a wide range of genres. Her set's cover classic Brazilian, Latin and Afrobeat and hip hop and funk from around the globe. Now based at Wyldpytch Records in Soho, Jane has played at various clubs in Brighton and London including Jazz Café, AKA, Cargo and Guanabara and worldwide gigs including MTV Awards in Portugal 2005, and in 2006 - Recife Carnival in Brazil, Womad, Braziliant, A Rum Do to name a few, as well as supporting Gilles Peterson, Mark de Clive Lowe, Nextmen and DJ Marky. She has a residency at the Big Chill Bar in London's Brick Lane. She is one of only a few female DJs in the UK playing Brazilian and Latin party tunes, mixed with hip hop from all over the world.

Richie Balboa is emerging as one of London’s fastest rising Djs coming off the back of a year spent destroying dance floors across the UK and more recently into Europe alongside artists such as the Utah Saints, Atomic Hooligan and Tayo. As well as the co-founder of Social he is the manager of NSB Radio, the largest Breaks radio station in the world recently winning the 'Best Radio Station' award the 2008 International Breakspoll Awards. At the same time as this he co-manages record label Diverted Traffic seeing them twice nominated as ‘Best Breakthrough Label’ at Breakspoll 07 and 08. Radim Vychopen, far better known as Radimo, hails from Prague in the Czech Republic and has played music professionally for a number of years, specialising in both alto and soprano saxophone and the flute.

Over the years, Radimo has played an extremely wide variety of musical styles and the whole journey began whilst playing with jazz and funk bands back in Prague in the mid-90s. His first serious experience was with the spectacular Czech roots reggae band, Hermakuti. In the year 2000, he started to work with producer, Stepan Tuma, on their own project entitled ‘Stephunk T’ giving unique performances which blended electronic and live music in clubs and festivals all over Europe. Since 2003, Radimo has supported DJ Krush, The Stereo MCs, The Prodigy, Ezekiel, Gentleman and The Freestylers. He has also played with a number of Czech top acts including Color Factory, Liquid Harmony and United Flavour, in addition to performing with DJs from the Czech Republic, South Africa, the UK, the USA and Norway. In last few years he has recorded horn sections for top Czech bands United Flavour, Ohm Square, Default and Mad Finger.

Radimo moved to London at the end of 2007 and is seeking to develop new musical styles and meet musicians with whom to embark upon new projects after falling in love with soul, hip hop, afrobeat and jazz. He is a member of the Spredluv collective where he works with different artists as Madame Pepper, Dee, The Ball, Cherri Prince and others. He also performed in Jonzi D’s hip-hop theatre ‘The Surgery’ in 2007 and 2008 and has a number of projects underway at present.
