Since the club opened over a million clubbers have flocked to the venue with DJs including Eric Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Fedde Le Grand and Laid Back Luke rating the club amongst the top venues in the world. Gatecrasher’s Watford club Area had a decadent makeover in 2009 to critical acclaim. This October also saw the opening of Ultra Gatecrasher in Nottingham which has been restructured taking inspiration from the darker more underground live music scene. Gatecrasher also continues its dominance in the north with its Leeds club Gatecrasher 7 going from strength to strength and a new Sheffield club to be launched soon."

So there we have it the same old news we have heard but at least they still have Sheffield in mind. Maybe people can relax now.

Also the White Party isn't on the O2 Academy website as an event and on the GC site theres just a poster and when you click on it no information. Heres hoping :)

Thats what made me think . . . Can u imagine what a night it would be ! , Iaint bin sheff since jan so does any1 now what the old crasher site looks like now ? , or is there any rumours going around about a new club somewhere ? . some one must no something.

Would be an awesome night. The site is the same still boarded up however there is a portakabin on there but thats been like that for months now. I doubt it would ever be rebuilt on the old site. I aint going to get excited but i have a sneaky feeling about this one. Can you buy tickets for the White Party yet?
Also with it saying Launched soon i presume it is nearly ready as you only launch something when it's ready.

Janine we need some answers. Is this the only White Party or are GC running two at different venues.

Nottingham Gatecrasher might be a good venue but Nottingham pubs are very strict about dress code and letting in large groups of people together. This is only gunna be worse on a busy night like boxing night.

If White Party is in Nottingham looks like i'll be looking for alternative entertainment

4am license and therefore close in Nottingham - public transport at that time is gonna be a faff and half. I can see a lot of people being out in the cold till gone 6am...sod that for a can of beans.

Crasher are well out of touch with the crowd at the moment, they have been all this year after the January event.

They haven't even lowered the ticket price now that they're using their own venue - piss take.

As for new sheff venue, i wouldn't expect a resurrection from the Ashes, I'd expect a smaller club much like the Leeds and Notts venue in a more centralised spot. One for the Student/Beer boy types.

The Gatecrasher bubble burst ages ago, we need to let go people, it's never gonna be like what it was, it's hard for me to say but we're all clinging on to something that's just not the same anymore.

There's been no post from Janine ect for ages now...there's obviously no interest for them anymore.

I say all this and I hate being negative and I truly hope I'm wrong,...

I've got a feeling it might be a quiet one. There are a lot of regulars in the other thread who've already said they can't / won't travel intercity on boxing day. That doesn't bode well.


I can't necessarily agree Flegimoo. GC are obviously prepared to put a lot of money into venue construction / refurbishment looking at what they've done over the past 2 years. When you're prepared to buy an entire ceiling and ship it internationally as they've just done with the LED ceiling for GC Ultra, I see no reason why they can't make it the same or even better. Sure I'd expect the bars and common places to be more like GCB simply because they want the mainstream crowd for most nights, but there's nothing to stop them constructing a dance room very much like the plan of the old GC - high ceilings etc. (building allowing of course if they've bought an existing venue). Just expect the areas off the dance floor to be much plusher.


You've missed some very good nights buddy. The 16th was absolutely mint - one of the very best GC nights at the O2. The new OTR night as just launched was another blinder. Sheffield is climbing its way back onto the trance map. A new GC 1 would be the icing on the cake. Wonder what they'll call it if Notts is Ultra? Gatecrasher Ultimate maybe?

They should hold a competition to name the club...it'll stir up some interest from the Gatecrasher faithful and new people alike.

Nar man you're missing my point dude...GC used to be about the clubbers, pushing boundries, being one step ahead...There's no thought to their line up's these days. I understand the reasons why, the better line ups have lesser known DJ's in - that's why the likes of DS piss all over the Crasher line ups. It's not necessarily Crashers fault in a way they need the big names to bring in the crowd but they still just fudge together their line ups. They also totally lack any kind of organisation.

Their new club style is without a doubt impressive, but its more the music and the crowd that make a trance night what it is (DS, OTR venue's = shitholes but cracking nights) rather than the material asthetics - The republic used to be a shit hole before they did it up. So yeah they're putting the effort in and forking the money out but thats to make the club a 5 night a week money spinner, not because they're thinking about making it a fantastic venue for Crasher nights to please the Crasher faithfull...it'll not be Crasher as we know it, it won't be our club like it used to be, our church, it'll just be another GC venue pulling in the beer boys IMO.

Even the new album has house and cheeze in it I mean what the flip?? And whilst there's a few new tunes in there it's still got classics in there again...For once I remain unconvinced and feeling quite low about Crasher.

They simply need to call it Gatecrasher Republic IMO if they rebuild on the same ground...if they dont they can call it whatever they want I couldnt give a shit.

well we all no the scene has changed and crasher have become more .....corparate if thats the right way to explain it , if the white party is in notts then im not going either ! ...... OTR , ive never bin to be fair but if you promise its a good night i might start travelling down for it . and godz is full of beer boys aint it ? . keep me informed of any good nights tho , i aint bin out in UK for 9 month
