Which is best, creamfields or global gathering?
I'm hopefully going to one this year and it looks to be creamfields as its the right dates for me.
Im after some info, are there different enclosed tents where different acts play? And will we know when and what time different DJ's are playing? Or is everything done on the main stage?

We are thinking about camping. What is this like? Looking at the website you are only allowed 1 case of beer and 1 bottle of spirit into the campsite? Are there no drinks allowed near the main stage/sperate tents?
I hate beer, am i not allowed to bring bottle of WKD or simlar alcopops?

Is everyone who camps issued with wristbands? And is everyone camping or not issued with a pass type thing to wear around your neck?

And also, are there any police on site at all?

Sorry to sound dumb, its my first time going to one of these events.

i went to creamfields last year thought it was good didnt like the slope took far too long to get in trying out global for first time this year

yes there are lots of tents. for example last year their was the main stage, the cream tent, tidy tent and many more here is LAST YEARS site map for an example. its at the same place so should at least be similar -except there a seperate area for camping as thats new for this year

And will we know when and what time different DJ's are playing? Or is everything done on the main stage?
last year we found out the day before (ish) when people were playing but when you got there they were selling laminates which told you times/sets etc. their is a mainstage then lots of different tents, fairground rides, fool and drink stalls etc

this is the first year camping has happened at creamfields so it should be an amazing atmosphere!! from what i have read you can only have alcohol on the campsite -no alcohol can be taken into creamfields like last year but it was really not as expensive. you can buy alcohol in creamfields and drink it where you want tho that includes in main stage/tents.

the problem with alcopops is their in glass bottles and from what i read they will not be allowed on the campsite due to health and saftey im guessing -someone did say about spirts being bought in plastic bottles but not quite sure. last year all the alco pops insde creamfields were in plastic bottle but ive never seen them to buy in shops.

im not sure about this. i do know if you are going on to seperate days you will be issued with 2 seperate tickets 01 for each day

there were police and security everywhere last year. it was very safe -i saw no trouble and they were friendly having pics taken with people and everything

it will only be my 2nd festival -both creamfields but from what i gather security, drinks etc are same at all festivals.

im going to get aload of big plastic pepsi bottle and pour all my alcopops in there! surely they cant moan about that! I will just die if i have to drink beer!!

Alcopops will be fine, it is just no glass aloud, because of safety. Everyone who is camping will receive a camping wristband. You don't sound dumb, it's well worth asking the questions so you don't get caught out, I hope you have a fabulous time and it's a great first experience!! x

You'll absolutely love it! U can't help but get caught up in the atmosphere n after a few hrs u'll feel like festival regulars with a few thousand new best mates :) Lovin the WKD in plastic bottles idea.

creamfields is having it for me this year without a doubt!!! i mean a full weekend of madness!! come on!! what more can ya ask for!!
