ive heard a lot of people saying that it wont work in blackwood, etc...yet i know the valleys are in desperate need of a regular hard dance event.

How did it go then guys? Was stuck on the sofa all day yesterday with suspected food poisoning so couldn't go. Was looking forward to it aswell :( Are there any plans for future events at The Red Lion?

went ok considering lack of promotion (due to venue change at short notice).

a few hiccups regarding a few non clubbers thinking that stomping with your arms above waist height is an invitation to kick off..but on the whole not too bad.

a few people need to realise that red lining the fuck out of the djm wont make it sound any better on the dance floor.

My bro went to Blackwood and said Red Lion was full of chavs and roid heads, so I guessed it'd be a bit dodgy in there.

Good stuff. Make sure you keep me informed then, cos I was gutted I couldn't go to this one. Worth noting too, there is something going on in The Angel in Maesycwmmer on Feb 7th I think. I believe it's only on for 3 or 4 hours but think it's free. I won't be at that though, cos I'm working.

yeah agreed, everyone kept altering the amp's despite having no experience of being a sound technician.

dont forget it was the 1st hard dance event in there and locals were not expecting it to be open, let alone playing decent music and having a different crowd.

was'nt pkd bou it was the first night. . . the red lion only get's rammed on thursdays coz of the student night . plus if anythings gona go off in there then u need a much beta sound system coz the 4 speakers over the bar are shit!. plus sum1sed roid eds n chavs, i used to go dwn on thursdays now n agen n u do get the odd 1 bou thats a thursday. The red lion used to be rammed thursday, alright on friday n paked on sat, bou with the foresters stayin open till to n the coed gettin rammed then it's shit. . more promotion needs to get dun for this night, all up the blackwood, pont, oakdale side needs alot more plus the bargoed , new tred etc.alot more promotion into it will pick it up , the nxt 1 will probs be beta as word get's round bou it will pik up as alot more ppl lik the hardstyle etc in the valleys. ope it does well n ope to be playin there soon.
