We have just launched a new hard dance club night in Manchester, Deeper Kicks @ The Music Box. Deeper Kicks hosts two rooms packed full of the freshest filthy hard house and uplifting, driving trance, along with laser show and a thumping 20k soundsystem. We will be showcasing some of the biggest established and up and coming talent in the scene, consisting of Hard Dance DJ’s from across the globe. Following the recent gap in the hard dance scene in Manchester, we aim to push our style and event forward to cater for the obvious demand for this legendary style and push Deeper Kicks up there with the big boys and make us a serious contender within the hard dance scene!
After 2 crackin first events @ The Music Box in October & November, Deeper Kicks is back again for our next event on
Friday 14th December for one bad ass filthy Christmas spesh! We will be hosting a tour night for the legendary
Tripoli Trax & Flashpoint Recordings, presenting the frontman of both these heavyweight labels,
Marc Johnson!
Expect more laserfueled madness and the dirtiest of hard stuff from past and present from Marc and residents, AK909, GNR & DJ Kinetic, with the odd vinyl give away too!
Marc Johnson Biography:
Marc Johnson's journey to being one of the most successful Hard House DJ / Producers of alltime started off by building his profile as a producer in order to make himself more appealing to clubs up and down the country. After countless releases on labels such as
Action,Splitscreen,Cut N Dry,12 Inch Thumpers Hard, BabyDoll, Toolbox, Elasticman, Hardsounds, Recharge, Infectious, Brain Damage, Vicious Circle,Tripoli Trax, Passion and Energy UK Marc decided to form his own label with friend Jupe and
FlashPoint Recordings was born,after a string of successfull releases the powers at be at the legendary
Tripoli Trax label were keeping an eye on Marcs progress and in Dec of 2003 marc was offered the vacant job as A+R man at Tripoli Trax following in the massive footsteps left by
Steve Thomas and Steve Hill.
Marc has played or has upcoming dates for
Heat, Tronic, Bedlam, Insekt, After Hours, Sectioned, HouseWives Choice, Deeper Kicks, Hi Oktane, Frantic, Kinetic, Feelin of Life, Recharge tour nights, Vicious Circles Heaven event in conjunction with Frantic, Total Mayhem, Hardware, Intreverse, Another World, Toolbox tour nights, Wake Up, RAW, Rehab, Milk, U4RIA, XLR8, Milk, Rush, Seed, Transcend, Fushia, Brathe, Endorphin, XTortion, Ultim-8, Godskitchen, Gatecrasher,, and
Storm. Marc has also played over seas for Industry in Auckland
New Zealand at New Years Eve 2003,
Ibiza in 2004, 3 dates in New Zealand 2004 and 2 dates in
Tokyo & Japan in April 2005 aswell as
Canada in Nov 2005 and 2 gigs in
Australia in Oct 2006.
October 2004 saw Marc enter the world of promoting along with friends George E,Pete Rothy and Allen TG to form the now powerfull brand that is known as
INSEKT. While partners of the brand has come and gone Marc is the only original member to have seen it through from humble beginnings at Fire to an upcoming birthday party at the Fridge and an INSEKT tour of Australia. The club has gone from strength to strength with many of the scenes heavyweights like
Andy Farley, Paul Glazby and Nick Sentience making appearances to firmly establish Marc's INSEKT as a mainstay in the Hard House calendar.

The Back Room:
Although the back room at The Music Box is not the great size of the main room, it doesn't mean it can't create the same electrifying atmosphere! It boasts another kick ass sound system with laser show, fog & lighting so we intend to use it to its full potential by supplying it with some of the best trance DJ's around!
This month will be no exception with more amazing sets coming from Gatecrasher's new whizzkid Jordan Suckley, who's excellent talent and trickery behind the decks is gaurenteed to rip off the roof!
Also touching down for his Deeper Kicks debut one of the North West's finest rising stars, Kryztow De Fier aka Chris Pollock. Its been a busy few years for Chris notching up gigs at Cream and Creamfields ’06, Gatecrasher Classics and various other nights across the north, as well as headlining Kubik and earning the right to play alongside many top jocks including, Agnelli & Nelson, Fred Baker, Randy Katana, Tylor Leigh, Mark Eteson, John O’ Callaghan, K90 Live, Scott Mac, Mac Zimms & E Craig. Chris has also been hard at it in the studio with a few weapons in his box he's ready to unleash! His recent floorburner "Don't Mess With Me" (Re-work) is currently being championed by Paul Oakenfold on his Perfecto Tours and Radio 1 and is now ready to rock The Music Box in true Deeper Kicks style!
We will also be bringing back resident faithful noisemakers, The Art Of Noise for some serious boshin trance along with up and coming star Ben Leary!

Justin Bourne (VC):
Justin has been firmly on the circuit for over 15 years now, although he started out within the Rave/Hardcore scenes, with a small cameo on the House side of things, but was quick to realise his real passion lay with Hard House.
His ability to provide blistering high-energy sets found no better home than part of this growing genre and has earned him high-profile UK residencies at events such as Marc Johnson's top London Hardhouser,
Insekt and also in Ireland where he became a regular fixture at top clubs
Energize and
Revolution. In the past year his diary has struggled to cope with the huge demand for his presence, as clubs such as
Polysexual, Goodgreef, Storm, Deeper Kicks, Tasty, SNAT and
B2T joined the queue for his electrifying sets.
Justin has notched up more than 80 releases on labels such as
Vicious Circle, Kaktai, Tripoli Trax, Recharge, Flashpoint and a number on his own much respected
Short Circuit stamp. He has also just had his latest floorburner, Musikism signed to Adam's Oktane Records.
His continued success on the clubbing circuit is assured thanks to his passion and devotion.

Adam is quickly becoming one of hard houses fasting rising stars. Oktane Records was started in June 2007 by Adam to mainly push his own sound and showcase his latest efforts in the studio. Justin Bourne, Defective Audio, Captain Tinrib, Grady G, Dave Owens and
Frank Farrell. Adam M and his brainchild – Oktane Records look set to take the hard house scene by storm.

Matt Ludlam (Off The Rails) followed by two of the scenes finest young female DJ talents,

Mr Crowd Rocker himself, Ben Stevens of Vicious Circle Recordings. For you who know Ben he needs no introduction. As Glazby's second in command at VC he has gone from strength to strength of the last few years tearin dancefloors apart up and down the UK, producing some kick ass tracks along the way and also collaborating with some of the best producers in the business. Ben also just released his own label,
Fireball Recordings, which is set to take the scene by storm! Watch that space!
