Ilker Turker Biography
Since his early childhood years in Istanbul, Turkey, Ilker Turker loved music and LP’s and singles were his favourite toys.
His family’s interest in music has played a great role on the growth of his love for music. The decision to pursue a career in electronic music was not too difficult. However applying it in a traditional society was his greatest challenge.
His professional music career started when his success at private parties caught the attention of the owner of a highly acclaimed nightclub, Pacha, Istanbul and he was immediately recruited by the club. Before long, his name became simultaneous with Pacha as he transformed the club’s music scene to match that of the best in Europe.
His reputation in Turkey was spreading and the number of people appreciating his sound increasing with every event he played.
The big break in his career came in 1995, when he was named DJ of the year, the award run by Power FM was highly acclaimed.
DJ Ilker Turker was sponsored by many companies including Carlsberg, Red Bull, J&B, Jack Daniels and Camel to mention a few. His great unique sound ‘deep, dark & dirty tribal’ progressive sets, which he sharply performs depending on the time, venue and the crowd.
Ilker has played alongside the likes of Masters at work, Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Carl Cox, Satoshi Tomie, Carl Craig, Derrick Carter, Roger Sanchez, David Alvarado, Anthony Pappa, Dimitri from Paris, Lottie, Joe Clausell and many more.
Ilker’s unique mixing style cemented his fan-base around the country, Having attained National stardom and respect by both his fans and colleagues, Ilker Turker has turned his attention to the International music scene to ring success to his unique style.

NEEDED TO POST THIS HERE

It has been brought to our attention that the government wish to consider it a legal requirement in the new tax year to introduce laws insisting anyone applying or re-applying for an entertainment license must have a noise control device fitted to the venue. This will be the final NAIL for ALL entertainment in the UK as the level at which these devices CUT you off is dreadfully low and damaging.

PLEASE DO NOT LET THEM INTRODUCE THIS LAW, WE KNOW YOU LOVE LIVE MUSIC AND SO DO WE!!!"

Please take 2 minutes to sign this e-petition and join in the fight for our right to party! - I've just filled it in and its completely fine, its the govermnent site re: petitions which i have used in the past for other e-petitions.
