No photo policy?
As somebody whose social life was changed beyond all recognition (ok so it changed from maybe 3rd gear to OVERDRIVE) by being spotted on DSI, I find it rather vexing that Fabric now has a 'no photo' policy.

What's going on? Somebody on DSI must know somebody at Fabric who can explain this madness, surely?

Answers on a thread....!

I know what mr-daddio is saying and probably agree with some of his underlying sentiments for his reasoning, but there's a great night out to be had there irrespective of all that.

you are of course right.. and I was having a fun little rant... Must say I am more of a party boy and therefore it will ever be completely at home with a cool line up... but youah you are of course right...

Blimey - this thread has been going in circles for a full year now!!

I'm sure I've posted my views already somewhere in this thread and besides and Mr Newt pretty much sums them up - altho regards the staff, I will always compliment them whole-heartedly - thanks to their help with both over-heating and ripped clothing escapades!

"Helped you with ripped clothing"? That could be taken two ways. (And so could you have been with ripped clothing ;-)

The real reason behind the no photo policy is the fabric management do not want pictures of punters who are fucked on drugs to be in public circulation. This would probable give them a bad reputation and damage they 'clean' image!

neva been to fabric, but can imagine that is the real reason and fair play to them...
understandably management werent gona come out with that themselves.... but it does feels like they just took their middle finger out of their arse and come up with the flashing lights excuse.... poor

Fabric think they are too cool to alow camera's, but they have always thought they are too cool.. someone once told me that Funky house no longer exists as a genre, I mean please get your head out of your arse...

I know its not in favour fight now, and I am bored of the old disco cut ups, but to state that it no longer exists as a genre...

To me the coolest clubs are those who dont care about how cool they are, and this is not has never and will never be Fabric... Its a great place for tourists and that is about it..

what planet r u on mate no way is it for tourists!
geeze, i would be there every week if i could afford it..
fabric does not think its too cool - far from it, fabric is the person in the corner who does not have to shout about being great, because they know it!

"empty vessels make the most noise".... when was the last time you saw fabric worry about what other people say or think, its not glitzy and glmerous like pacha or MoS.... its dark, and understated. they dont need to shout about it! i dont think fabric even advertise do they!? i mean not like ministry or anything, they r throwing flyers up all th time, they have cds, the lot! fabric post me 2 posters a month,,, i dont even see adverts for fabric on dsi - they knwo they r good enough. word of mouth is the best form of advertising - no one would advertise a shit club!

fabric is about one thing - dancing like no one is watching! its about music.. not looking good, not taking photos, not parancing about like a ponce, fabric is jeans t shirt n trainers stomp ur heart out, hands in th air, jumping. having a great time,,,,!!!

i like th atmosphere in all th rooms, always dark, lazers my only light. they have a no photo policy, but who cares!? those that do want to take photos do.. and mostly they r SHITE as it is so dark! i admit to taking th odd photo, and some videos, but only of the lazer beams! you can never photo th dj as its too dark, and taking a photo of ur willing mates is difficult!

this is what makes this club uniqie,,, fair enough they have a crap way of saying"no photosd - just - because we said so"... but like i said who cares

cant wait to go back there to rinse it out larrrrrrrge!

of course this is the real reason, fabric would not b what it is without "pacman"....

(listening to repetitive music in a dark room munching magic pills)

i mean come on,, they know it, we know it, if they have people taking photos of it, its guna get shut down!
