Fiction, DTPM's younger sister, first opened it's doors in February 2000 at The Cross, in London's King's Cross. It was warmly welcomed by DTPM's followers, but soon found it's own crowd and identity, it has gone on to become London’s most consistently successful Friday night.
Initially, with only two rooms, London Clubbers decided that Fiction really was THE place to start your weekend. Then came the explosion! After only six months, The Cross expanded and doubled in size. This put Fiction firmly on the map for Fridays; coining the phrase "Fridays are Fiction".
Now in its seventh year, the club has received wide acclaim as "London's best kept secret". It is one of a small number of clubs that relies mainly on its residents to provide a music policy that is all about quality & giving the crowd just what they want. We attract a polysexual, dressed up crowd, from fashion followers to trainer clad music heads. Fiction has become THE destination for many a celebrity looking for somewhere to lose themselves in an attitude free open minded environment.
After a short break in March this year, Fiction returns at a brand new venue The Island, formally Soundshaft, on 27th July 2007. A venue steeped in clubbing history, this will take Fiction right back to its intimate roots in this plush, newly renovated club.
On rotation is Room 1:
Kellilicious, Lora, Luke Hope, Mark Westhenry, Nick Tcherniak, Simon Hunter & Guests.
Serving up the infamous Fiction house in Room 2 are the collective talents of:
Guy Williams, Justin Ballard, Malcolm Duffy, Nick “Bodyrox” Bridges, Kami & Guests.
Two rooms of funkin’ pumpin’, electronic bliss, set in what we reckon could be one of the coolest new venues in London. Put it this way – we’ve spent the past 4 months deciding where to go, so we reckon we got it right.
