What is Flabbergast?

Starting life in the back room of a pub in December 2005, Flabbergast has quickly become the the most talked about Hardcore only event in Suffolk.

After years of promoting small events around Essex, founder Dan Doolittle, after moving to Ipswich, decided to put on a monthly Hardcore night at The Silver Star. The venue was very bizarre, it was a pub, with a room that joined onto the main bar and seating area, which had a dance floor which could hold around 100 people, and installed was a massive 10k system.

After a few events, Dan's long time friend C-Kay became more involved in promoting the nights, and the line ups went from local DJ's, to having some of the finest up and coming's s in the scene, such as HB & Ponder, MC Rizladizla, RV2, Mike Vapour and G-Spencer.

As time went by, Flabbergast had outgrown the venue, and somewhere bigger was needed.

After much searching, Doolittle and C-Kay decided to host a night at Studio 3 in Bury St Edmunds, a multi room venue which had that underground vibe, and hosted nights from all genres of music, from Rock to Hardcore, Drum n Bass to Speedcore.

With a bigger venue to fill, bigger line ups were needed.

The re-launch of Flabbergast took place on 10th August 2007, with artists DJ Force, DJ Fracus, Vibes and Livelee and MC Whizzkid topping the bill, alongside local up and coming DJ's, and legends from yesteryear, such as DJ Magical.

Witht the success of the night, future events have gone on to include some of todays biggest artists, such as Breeze & Gammer, MC Casper, to name but a few.

After a few months out, due to Studio 3 being sold, and having a major re-fit, Flabbergast is set to carry on where it left off, bringing todays biggest DJ's and MC's, alongside the best up and coming talent around.
