Godskitchen in May presents one of the most seminal and well known names in
electronic music.... The legendary PAUL OAKENFOLD who needs no
introduction.... How many producers can state that they have remixed the
likes of Madonna, The Rolling Stones, U2, Michael Jackson and Radiohead?!
Paul is a true A List DJ, one of the most established figures in the scene
who has has performed in hundreds of places around the world including
unique locations such as the Great Wall in China, the Hollywood Bowl in Los
Angeles and Wembley Stadium... and on May 24th he will be touching down at
Air in Birmingham!

In the Nitrogen Room we welcome back Air favourites THE TROPHY TWINS
alongside the fine Godskitchen residents MICKY SLIM, FUNKAGENDA, PAUL THOMAS

saw oakie at gatecrasher late last year and i have to say i enjoyed his set. mixing was good and the tune selection was ace. even if you're determined to boycott his appearance at gods i'd still go to check out funkagenda and paul thomas who never disappoint, or any of the dj's in the second room who are class

Yeh, Oakenfold at Gatecrasher was something else, he played a blinding set that night full of new tunes and some classics for good measure - mixing was spot on also.

If he plays a set anything like that night then it will be one not to miss.

i dont know wether everybody else is as pissed off with these mixed genre nights as i am i pay to listen to trance music and dont want to listen to funky dirty or hard of any description(unless its trance) for 3to 4hrs till the main dj is on i know the clubs are trying to please every one hey dont bother you cant! mind you most of the top trance djs are seeming to be turning to house sets nowdays ,the only one not to dissapoint me this year is ferry Mmmm i think an era is coming to a end for me mind you always the netherlands left

well i was really up4 oakie sat night but seems not alot people are goin,but i am going 2 give it a shot going as commando girls with a few mates at the end of the day the place has music and drink and loads top random ppl what more can u need.

your logic and optimism has enthused me, i have a plan!!!! get well twatted wander off to the smoke area and talk shite to any one within a two foot radius(somthingwhich i am well practiced at) and only going back in the club when a trance set is played my night is SORTED i mayeven as you did/didnt sugest go commando heh! heh! ZEINA DO YOU KNOW IF OAKY is playing a trance set

I think whatever PO plays will be good to be honest, but even so, we have another two rooms to wander into if we don't like what he is playing!

Gutted there was only one room open, but Oakey pulled off a good set!

I was a bit worried that Oakey hadn't updated his CD wallet from his outings last year when he started with the Benny Benassi mix of Red Hot Chili Peppers - My Otherside and Armin's Rush Hour. Luckily, he played a lot more newer tracks after that, with a fair few of his own tunes, actually mixed and beatmatched properly... good set!

Shame more people didn't stick around for Paul Thomas and Neil Navarra afterwards. Once you adjusted to the drop in BPM there was some good stuff to end the night off with!

i was kinda disapointed that only the main room was open, nat monday played a decent set i think =)

Yeh I thought a great set by oakenfold with lots of new mixes of his own productions and perfecto stuff, played a similar set at Gatecrasher the following night which went of well.

i thought it was shite really 2 b honest no 2nd room i only went for funkagenda etc and it wernt open,it shut at 5 which didnt help as my lift wernt arriving till just after 6am talk about false advertising.....not a happy bunny.lol.
