Loved Pendulum, Chic and the whole of Sunday night in the big tent, Tiesto was excellent, but hell....what a nasty corporate event.

It seems that Creamfields was about extracting as much cash as possible and offering the worst possible experience for the visitors.
On the way in... 3 hours to get through the search barrier into the campsite.
Security didn't know what they were doing, the stewards were unhelpful and surly.
Overall the search thing was way over to top. I saw some young girls being violently pushed into the fence and searched - ok, I understand the need to scare the dealers, but a bit too heavy handed?

Inside the camp site it was the usual s**t in a tray food merchants, not like The Big Chill, Womad or even Glastonbury.
Admittedly the quality of acts was very good and the Cream tent was really well done, but seriously, Creamfields promoters, you need to think about the overall experience. Would a shower block have been too much trouble for £115 a head??? Oh, and if you are stopping people getting back to their cars, maybe a better choice of outside catering too? The noodle bar in the main arena was the worst food I have had since I was at school.

The chips were bl***dy awful too! (Think everyone must have thought this as there were chips strewn about all over the place at one point!)

I agree with all of your comments...we were asked to see our wrist bands at so many points of the journey back and forth to our tent it was a nightmare! The djs etc were fantastic tho and we had the best time!

Hi in response to your answers.

This year was a our first year with camping, and use the same production team that work on Bestival, camp bestival and rockness so the same terms and conditions of camping are in place for them. On site we did have the usual food stands, but we also had an international food market which you may have missed on your travels.

The checks on the wristbands and the no re-admission is put in purely and completely down to the safety of the punters which we think is very important.

I think that saying young girls were violently pushed into a fance is a massive statement, and as far as I am aware nothing like that would be accepted by any Cream member of staff of which we had our team at every gate. If you definately think that you saw this then we would advise you to report something to the police.

Creamfields is one of the cheapest UK festivals, and if you look at the line up that you get to see and break it all down I think that you will find that the money is definately worth it. Big Chill has toilets, but the line up is nowhere near the same calibre or expense...so they can add in more indulgences for the campers, you really need to weigh things up. Shower blocks will definately be something that we will look at next year, as we will be trying to extend on the camping experience and make it better, and I will pass on your comments about the food vendors to the guys who work on it and put the stuff in place.

I hope that apart from these comments you had an awesome weekend and saw some of the amazing live acts and DJs!

We do appreciate peoples comments though and will take them all on board for next year!

Snip.

That's great you took the time to answer someone's grumbles. Good to see some do take the time to sort things out.

Thanks - we really want to strive to be the best festival and work so hard that it's worth taking on board what our punters want to get it right....they are the reason that we're doing it all at the end of the day.

It was for me, the best festival I have been to. I've not done too much in recent years but was at the early Creamfields when it started.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, aside from a few minor things like the food, it was certainly the best festival weve been to. The line up on Sunday blew us away!
