Loved Pendulum, Chic and the whole of Sunday night in the big tent, Tiesto was excellent, but hell....what a nasty corporate event.

It seems that Creamfields was about extracting as much cash as possible and offering the worst possible experience for the visitors.
On the way in... 3 hours to get through the search barrier into the campsite.
Security didn't know what they were doing, the stewards were unhelpful and surly.
Overall the search thing was way over to top. I saw some young girls being violently pushed into the fence and searched - ok, I understand the need to scare the dealers, but a bit too heavy handed?

Inside the camp site it was the usual s**t in a tray food merchants, not like The Big Chill, Womad or even Glastonbury.
Admittedly the quality of acts was very good and the Cream tent was really well done, but seriously, Creamfields promoters, you need to think about the overall experience. Would a shower block have been too much trouble for £115 a head??? Oh, and if you are stopping people getting back to their cars, maybe a better choice of outside catering too? The noodle bar in the main arena was the worst food I have had since I was at school.

Yeah it was stinking but after half a box of wine at the tent the smell seemed to disappear :)

Thats another AMAZING point about the camping. Taking your own alcohol. Definately keep that for next year.

I thought it was a good event musically, and cant fault any of the acts. Pendulum, the Swedes, Fatboy Slim, all quality.

My only bad points are ;

I thought the campsite was ill-equipped and badly laid out. Only a couple of burger stands, no showers, and trudging to the toilets at the top of a muddy hill became a bit of a chore after a while. I wish there was some closer to the exit to the arenas. Also there were no bars in the campsite.

Also, it would of been better if you didnt have to walk miles from the campsite then have to queue up with everyone else to get into the arenas. Global had its own entrance from the campsite to the arenas, which worked well i thought.

As for comments about prices, i thought they were reasonable for a festival, certainly around the amount i was expecting to pay. I heard GC were charging £5 a beer, so creamfields was cheap in comparison.

As for the trouble, well, i didnt see any to be honest. There were a few dicks that i thought better off keeping out their way, but on the whole the atmosphere was great, especially all the cheering etc in the campsite. A good police / security presence made me feel safe. It was my first creamfields, and i was expecting the worst after hearing online reports about all the scallies etc, but i was pleasantly surprised, and every scouser i met was sound, we were even camped by a few who we had a good crack with.

It was my first creamfields, which i chose over global this year because of the better lineup, and it didnt dissapoint me. As long as cream gets a good lineup next year, i'll be coming back. (p.s any chance of some breaks next year?).

You could take your own booze ??? I liked the fact there were no bars and no music on the campsite. I got 2 good nights sleep which I needed!

Just to make a few tiny comments on the festival... this was my 5th festival (global 3 times and SW4 last year...) I did really enjoy Creamfields this year... we trekked up from Bournemouth and camped for the weekend... the festival itself was great... great line up, nice ppl, wicked attractions and generally really friendly!!! Oh and the fact that you can bring booze in was really nice too!

I know it was the first year that Creamfields has had camping so there are bound to be some teething problems... (trust me I have seen Global improve no end in the last 3 years that I have been going!!!)

The main issues that I had were; the badly organised queuing system to get into the Camping on Saturday... the queue was massive and awfully organised

I paid for VIP/hospitality; I wish that i hadnt; we had no seperate queue, no seperate parking, no seperate camping etc; I dont mean to sound like a snob but I am happy to pay more money in order to make the most of the festival... Global has all of the above... just an idea...

Final point... the fact that we were charged £10 to park... WTF??? that was really cheeky... it wasnt like we could choose to park anywhere else... and again; when paying £220 for a hospitality ticket, i was a bit shocked by that little stinger!!!

However; I would say that I had a great time and would definatley go back next year... I just hope that these comments can be taken constructively so that the festival can improve!!!!

I had a lovely dog take a shine to me and got searched by the police after having my bag searched twice on the way in and have to say she was fine with me and didnt assume just because the dog chose me to get special treatment that i had drugs on me.

she checked everywhere including taking my bobble out and going through my hair but was polite and not too rough with me which she could have been to do it quicker and when she called another police man and he tried to take my bag off me to take it away to be searched i called him back to get my purse, phone and camera back before they took it out of sight -he laughed but gave me my stuff back and searched it in front of me.

i could not fault them and were just doing there job xxxx

we were asked to see our wrist bands at so many points of the journey back and forth to our tent it was a nightmare!

It only takes a second to show a wrist band tho and at least it shows they were attempting to keep non-campers out of the site.
