Push:fwd in association with Influential House Recordings...
...presents

On the 24th November, Influential House Recordings will be joining forces with Southends newest and most talked about club night, Push:fwd @ The Royal Hotel.

Providing the beats with the Influential resident dj's; Scott Harrington, Travis and Ryan Briggs is the legendary and ORIGINAL Techno master, COLIN DALE.

Setting things off will be Ryan Briggs with an exclusive 2 hr warm up set followed by a special "INFLUENTIAL" 2 hour, back to back set from none other than Travis and Scott Harrington....it's been a while ;-)

Colin Dale shall then step forward and close the night with a 2 hour set (never before in Southend) of the finest house and techno music....expect a masterclass performance...

This is expected to be a roadblock and we advise you to get there early and get those concessions in (pushsounds@hotmail.co.uk).

Also, dont forget to click I'll be there so that we know who's coming. This is the start of something new and we hope that you can ALL be there to experience it from the beginning....

(even if I have to break into the offices next door and run a cable to the DJ booth).

Not being funny but me and Steve Hearn used to work in those offices.....
*** thinking of a plan to get back in there....***

Have you still got any of the early shows and is there any chance you could upload them?

Colin Dale - Kiss FM (July 1990)
Colin Dale - Kiss FM (June 1991)
Kiss FM Colin Dale Show - Lenny Dee 25 Minute Mix (March 1991)
Kiss FM Colin Dale Show - Lenny Dee 20 Minute Mix (Sept 1991)
Colin Dale - Kiss FM (1992)
Colin Dale & Colin Faver - Kiss FM (Aug 1992)

The Lenny Dee mixes are class.... I'll try get these uploaded for ya.

Fucking how cool is this...everyone I've been speaking to remembers the ABSTRAKT DANCE SHOW from growing up and all so far have confessed to taping the shows. It was definitely a revolution and an important path for a majority of us to get in to dance music as it was known back then (note to Norman, I said MAJORITY). I myself cannot believe that Colin agreed to come down and play for us and Im looking real forward to be playing alongside him. Big thanks to Steve and the Royal for agreeing to pay his fee...we also have some real fine guests lined up after this event (TBC) and I'm proud to be named as one of the residents for this newly established night!

Woop woop...

Nice one cheers mate.
Martin will be back by then and Curly hasn't missed a PUSH: fwd yet, in fact he was raving about it which is really something coming from him. I don't have any contact details for a lot of them though.

Does Merlin still mix? He used to be quality, I would be interested in hearing what he is playing now.

Yeah he does, he's a wicked DJ! I haven't heard his recent purchases, but I know he's still on a techno/maybe heading towards electro tip for sure. I'll have to get a CD off him for you. I'm seeing him Friday for his b'day in Rayleigh.

That leaves Grff & Mark and it looks like we could have a Polymorphic reunion on our hands as well then. Wicked!!!

Although I doubt Mark will come back from Spain for the crack!! Although, stranger things have happened!

xx

I wouldn't put it past Mark to come all the way from Spain, anybody else I would say no chance.

I'm sure Grff will come.

Yes please grad a CD from Merlin, i know how good he used to be, I've seen his 3 deck mixes. I would be interested in hearing what sort of Techno he is playing these days. Are you meeting in the Pry? I might just come up there for a swift half with you all.

I know, Mark'll do whatever it takes to party! Grf will come! & Matt & Debs probably will too with Colin Dale on the line up (rude not too eh?)

I'll find out where we're meeting on Friday and let you know, it'd be cool to see you.

Speak soon matey. I'll stay on the case rallying up the techno troops!

I'm not sure, perhaps Scott can throw some light onto the subject.

WHATS HAPPENED TO COLIN FAVOR

Haha, no I have no idea where he has gone. He was also superb as well but I have no idea what happened to him when he left Kiss FM ten years ago. To be honest, I havent even tuned in to Kiss since both Colin Dale and Colin Favor have left. Colin Favor's record label, Rabbit City is also no longer going either...maybe pipe and slippers syndrome has kicked in.

Would love to know for sure tho if anyone can shed any light???

Well, I saw him them both DJing together at the Mass in Brixton about 5 or 6 years ago, but nothing since then.

Seems this is currently the last known sighting!!

I have Googled his name but the only things that come up refer to his old skool days.

Can anybody beat Allie's last sighting of him 5 or 6 years ago?
