What is Just the One??

Back in June 2004, Marcus Kay, Kriss Darang and Steve Spectrum launched Just the One? for 350 discerning clubbers within the deep Blue rooms of seOne London. The concept was to put on a party to bring something different to the venue.

Having just celebrated its 2nd birthday in June 2006, Just the One? over the last 2 years has seen DJs from many major labels performing. From Subliminal to Milk’n’2Sugars, Toolroom Records to BacktoBasics. The parties have grown from their humble beginnings to catering for up to 2000 people; featuring DJs such as Derrick Carter, Mr C, Matijn ten Velden, Clive Henry, Robert Owens, Jorge Jaramillo, CJ Mackintosh, Barry Ashworth, Dave Beer, John Fitz, Mike Monday, Hoxton Whores, Richard Earnshaw, DJ Gee, Bobby and Steve, Bones, Paul Woolford, Chrissy T, Oliver Lang, Tim Sheridan, Gary Gecko, Lisa Loud, Buckley, Contagerous (MC Kinky) , Soulseekers, Ant Packam and Mutiny to name a few.

January 2006 saw Just the One? venture abroad for the first time hosting a party at Gary Gecko’s Sound Club, Chaweng Beach, Thailand; with residents Kriss Darang, Lisa Loud, and special guests Gary Gecko and Clive Henry. Following on from the success of this gig and Just the One’s? London Residency at seOne, Just the One? was invited to take over El Divino, Ibiza on Tuesday 25th July for Penetra Ibiza. This event proved to be a phenomenal success being the busiest Tuesday night at El Divino this summer to date. The night featured Just the One? residents Lisa Loud and Kriss Darang vs. Jnr J alongside special Guest Tim Sheridan.

Over the next 12 months Just the One? will be embarking on a Global Tour, with international dates being finalised for Thailand, Spain, Germany, Prague, Ibiza and New York. While Just the One’s? London residency will be taking place at seOne London in 2007 bi-monthly starting on March 10th.

Ibiza comes to London Town

As the capital plays host to yet another dull and rainy summer, Bambossa Records’ big summer event brings the euphoric climes of Ibiza to London this Saturday with its Ibiza Party. With a line up of clubland’s finest including Ibiza legend Harry Choo Choo Romero, MixMag favourite Tommy Four Seven and Zipcode’s Ben de le Pena, Bambossa is set to take London’s seOne club by storm.

Joining us for this spectacular Brazilian Carnival Inspired event with full décor, projections, video wall, Capoeira, Angle Grinders and Stilt walkers; Good Life and Tickled Pink!, alongside PUMPdaPHUNK. Four rooms dedicated to up front house music.
