Yeah, yeah, yeah: some tits painted their basement red and had a few [shit hot] parties a while back. Who cares? That was two years ago. My Space was cool back then (www.myspace.com/keto_loco) !! Well, get excited, ‘cos Ketoloco cordially invite you to their 2nd birthday hurrah, and it’s only in a bloody garage.

The “Kerbcrawler” Garage is possibly even more underground than the basement: it’s a sonically spot-on little hub with darkened discos inside and, for this sesh only, a marquee and light show outside. You know that Carlsberg ad’ (other beers are available) about them doing the best stuff in the world? Well rumour has it they’ve had a hand in this.

Anyway, bustling for air space with the whiffs of two stroke and Castrol, will be the combustive beats of German gent, Tobias Lutzenkirchen, who is straying from das Vaterland to Leeds for the first time. He’s released wax for Great Stuff and Craft Music, making his name with sets which are both techno toned and electro shaded, and is someone who deserves your consideration.

Bigger Than Jesus spin, too. You know them, right? Well they’re label chums with Trentemoller and Gabriel Ananda on Tic Tac Toe, and James Holden and John Dahlback on Silver Planet Recordings. So if you like that sort of music, you know, the good shit, then see you there. Dirty Disco ressie Matt Cooper also nestles in on things for your rude listening pleasure.

Oh and of course, the whole K Team - there’s seven, count them - will be playing out, each of them with their own quixotic musical mantras. Perfectly padded pillows of dubby, synth lead wonk; hook laced micro house, squelchy acid lines and techy grooves are all part of the brotherhood’s musical make-up, and will all be part of your memories once the birthday candles are but wisps of silvery smoke.

Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind: by now, then, you will be powerless to resist going to this party, so my work here is done. But just remember comrades, the most important thing you can take anywhere is not Ricardo Villalobos or a sack of narcotics; it's an open mind. Have fun, won’t you :)

Awesome night, well worthe entrance fee and trek slightly out of town.
Loved the dingeyness of the venue, very underground indeed, like opening sequence to blade.

Music was spot on, dont know what time Lutzenkirchen was on but whoever was Djing it was all good, especially around 3-4 oclock in the upstairs bit, think it may have been fisha, that was amazing.

When is the next instalment in Leeds?
