What is Like This?

After skulking around in the corner for a while, trying to look cool, Like this…? has put it’s pint somewhere safe and ventured back out onto the dancefloor. As of Saturday March 24th. We’ll be putting on regular parties upstairs at the Cross in Moseley village. Expect to hear house, disco, funk, hip hop, techno, new beat, old beat, no beat, dead beat, jazzy beats, snazzy beats and spazzy beats expertly selected by two of the world’s (well, maybe not the world’s, but definitely Birmingham’s) finest djs. “Mr Four Day Weekend” Anton Debiage is one of THE heavy hitters on the Birmingham party scene. Having played at places such as House of God, Miss Moneypenney's and the legendary Boogie Down Brum, Anton is more than capable of rinsing out a gathering of sweat-drenched rave monkeys. He once almost dj’d at the after party for an S Club 7 gig, but it didn’t happen in the end. He would’ve mashed it up though.
Towen (Antony to his mum), is another fine Birmingham based dj. As well as knowing how to select a tune or two, he’s a pioneer in the field of energy efficient dancing. His “deep house shuffle” (a sort of swaying with a pint in the right hand) has won many energy conservation awards. He’s also not averse to a rewind if he feels the time is right.
After the initial party, we’ll be re-surfacing at the Cross on the first Friday of each and every month for more Like this…? mayhem. It’s free in before ten, and sambuccas are a quid, so even if you’ve only got a pound to your name you could still have quite a good night.
