you appear to have issues with understanding the difference between a tracklist and a genre... of course TRANCE is the main focus of the event so as long as TRANCE is played regardless of which specific trance tracks it happens to be and he did play trance just because it wasn't what you wanted to hear doesn't mean tiesto is shit... maybe next time you should burn yourself a cd of what you wanna listen to and stay at home if its all about the tracks and all other aspects of the event are irrelevant to you then you appear to waste money all the time.

dude set wasnt bad just needed more oldskool trance... as you know tiesto isnt HUGE in uk yet, so he played it a bit safer and played these pop mixers. shame it ended when it did as he started busting out the killer trance like marcel woods, and kernkraft.

and thoose bellends made elements of life start with a kick and added a bit of amusement so it wasnt all bad lool

He didn't have an 'off' day. It's how he plays now. Can you imagine if your favourite DJ ever, that you have loved for years just did a 360 and started playing commercial crap. You would be gutted.

it is you that has issues...... You don't even know what trance is you wierdo. If you look at the tracklist in the other post and count the tracks that fit the trance Genre there is less than 20 out of 42 tracks.


Before you make comments about trance get yourself to a proper club, listen to some proper sets and educate yourself as to what trance is......... Then maybe you'll realise that what you heard on Friday night was not a Trance set although it did include some trance tracks.

If you enjoyed yourself fine, that's great you obviously enjoy a broader range of music. For me I Love trance and hate commercial bollox, so you can understand why it was shit for me..........

i know what trance is. yes i have experienced several fav DJ's who have gone bollox but it happens nothing you can do and there's always an up and coming DJ to take their place, trance doesn't die with tiesto.

As you said this is the point i've been trying to make all the way through so thanks for agreeing with me.

Just because a DJ diversifies, doesn't make him shit, his technical ability and showmanship is still outstanding, i have repeatedly said i was dissappointed at certain tracks just because i take the show as a whole doesn't mean i'm "uneducated" maybe its witnessing all the work behind the scenes that helps me appreciate the magnitude of putting on these events. Due to this now becoming so petty i see no point in continuing the discussion. I'm not uneducated, i've been to many "proper" clubs over the years, i just find it shocking that people can turn on a DJ so fast when they claimed to have loved him for so many years.

quite easily when hes gone from having the best TRANCE music event tour in history (elements of life) to the bollocks hes playing now.




did we say the "EVENT" was shit??? Ive nothing against his visuals etc, they are still second to none and the overall production is out of this world, but if the music is wank, which is obviously was looking at tracklist whats the point???

nothing against you stephy but it sounds like u prefer the commercial sound that tiesto plays nowdays, if thats the case then fair enough, but bare in mind alot of us on here have been going trance events for 10 years or more and it saddens us to see what Tiesto is doing in 2009.

Every dj is entitled to change their style, if you don't like it, then don't go.

To be perfectly honest, the set was exactly what I expected from the day (personally I never would have thought to have got a full trance set outside at that time of day), and I had a great time, we had one of the most beautiful days possible, out in the sun with music, as as far as I could tell from the people I saw, everyone was having a great time. A festival is about a lot more than just the track list.

Brilliant day, will be there next year with bells on!

This is a very good point and as i said earlier in this post had i known that it was gunna be like that i wouldn't have gone and certainly won't be going again.............

Jumpin' on the bandwagon against the moaners, yes i think we all understand that he didnt play as much trance as myself and others would have liked, but christ stop repeating the matter and just look back on a brilliant day out, to add mr laser i was stood in the centre just behind the gold circle and every1 around me was having a good time, u must of been in a dark corner somewhere with the lights neglecting you if u felt so unhappy with this event.

That's our point it wasn't a brilliant day for us...........

For me, IF IT'S NOT TRANCE IT'S NOT DANCE!!!!!!! so you maybe understand why i thought it was shit.

For me you can take all the production you want and throw it away. I would prefer good music with someone flicking the light switch than shit music with lasers and ice cannons.......

This is just my opinion and obviously the opinion of a few others...... If you want to set up a post to lick Tiesto's arse then feel free....... You and your friends can talk about how good it was in there and we'll stay in this post and bash the sell out tosser........
