My sister, Nicola Marland,(aged 26) passed away last year - suddenly. Nicola suffered from epilepsy and unfortunately died suddenly through a condition called SUDEP which is fatal for people who have epilepsy..

Many people do not realise that epilepsy can, in some cases, be fatal. ....... very little is known about the condition known as SUDEP, its cause or prevention. It happens in a split second, at any time, and without reason. This is what happened to Nicola...

I have set up a memorial fund in Nicolas name and all funds raised in her name are given to the Charity Epilepsy research UK. The charity carries out research in all areas of epilepsy.... causes, prevention, and possible cure. I feel this is the only constructive thing i can now do for and on behalf of Nicola...

I am now organising a sponsored sky dive to raise funds for the memorial fund and epilepsy research uk. I am looking for anyone interested in making either a tandem sky dive or parachute jump.

We are hoping to arrange a jump in July, at Grange Over Sands. If a minimum amount of sponsorship is raised then the jump will be FREE.
