M.N.K.Y + RYKI - TWO NEW MIXES TO DOWNLOAD - 'PERFECTION THROUGH SILENCE' [ MIX 1 BOOTLEG HARDSTYLE / MIX 2 EUROPEAN HARD TRANCE ]

Hurrah its finally here!! The follow up to ‘Fwenzey’, this mix has been a very long time in the making!

‘Fwenzey’ was our last recorded mix, done in February 2007 to co-incide with our appearance @ Slinky vs Frenzy in Bournemouth and the feedback from it was just phenomenal! We had over 1200+ hits on the download and a whole list of great gigs off the back of it! We were pretty chuffed to say the least! Then around September time we began getting ‘itchy feet’ to make another mix as we felt we had rinsed ‘Fwenzey’ dry! But we knew that we needed to make something extra special to surpass the level of standard that ‘Fwenzey’ had!

So we decided to do not one but TWO mixes! We also decided that these two mixes would be done individually and would also be two different styles. The result, after many months of chops and changes to the tracklisting, was ‘Perfection Through Silence’, one whole disc of fast and uplifting hard trance from Ryki and one whole disc of stompin hardstyle from M.N.K.Y!!!

The name ‘Perfection Through Silence’ is taken from a track by one of Ryki‘s favourite bands, Finch. We thought that it was ironic but most importantly we thought it sounded cool! The two styles chosen are our favoured genres. We love hardstyle but not the intense Italian and Dutch versions as they are just too hard! Instead we like to opt for the more well known bootlegs of commercial tracks. The hard trance we have chosen for this mix is based around the european sound that is fast and melodic. This is what we enjoy playing out in our live sets. We haven’t put any UK hard trance or hard house into this mix as we had a fair bit of that in ‘Fwenzey’, maybe for the next one!
