Nakedbeatz was established in 2000 as a record shop based in a bedroom, selling to close mates that dj'd in and around London. The idea came from S.L.B who had worked in a record shop from the mid 90's. After time this became a record shop based in London's Release The Groove, in Piccadilly Circus, also bringing in the help of DJ Manga. After leaving Release The Groove, DJ Arceye also became involved and the next step was setting up the record shop online, hence nakedbeatz.com was born. From this the Nakedbeatz events started running with the help of DJ Smoove, the first event being held at Yamas Lounge 2 years ago. DJ's playing for Nakedbeatz events included Nicky Blackmarket, Kane, Ruffstuff to name but a few. With the progression and success of each event, it attracted more & more big names, such as Funky Flirt, Fatman D, Skibba, Devious D, Huckleberry Finn, Rob Blake etc. In December 2007 Nakedbeatz held a charity bash in Vauxhall, raising money and awareness for Macmillian Nurses, which was a big success. Then the next step came in Feburary 2008 when S.L.B launched nakedbeatzradio.com the Nakedbeatz internet radio station, playing the very best in Drum & Bass, Old Skool, Dubstep, Soul, R&B and Bashment. The Nakedbeatz empire has grown over the years and is taking on new challenges all the time, whilst bringing the public well known DJ's and MC's it is also showcasing new and fresh talent all the time. Nakedbeatz meets Dance Explosion was on May 23rd 2008 at Club Factory in Vauxhall, celebrating 2 years of Nakedbeatz events, people came along to witness the professionalism and pure party vibes set up by the Nakedbeatz name and all those working hard to represent it and became a part of its blossoming future. Definitely not something to miss out on!
