Peach News & History

At The Cutting Edge of the Scene…

Peach was without a doubt, right at the forefront of London clubbing from 1993 to 2004.
It had the foresight to be the first UK club to book DJ’s that went onto to dominate the trance scene - Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren, The Flash Brothers and Abel Ramos to name just a few.

Diverse…

Peach’s music policy was never matched by any other brand.
Over 1500 ecstatic clubbers heard the musical progression from house
& progressive house to breaks to trance in ONE room every single Friday night.

Consistent Quality…

Peach was not built on any magazine hype - it came about entirely because of the crowd
reaction to the resident DJ’s - Graham Gold, Dave Lambert, Darren Pearce and Craig Dimech.

From its beginnings at Legends nightclub in the heart of the West End,
through to its move to the bigger Café de Paris and onto the infamous
and even bigger Leisure Lounge, there was never a Guest DJ in site.
It WAS all about the residents and their love of the music and the crowd,
and the crowds love of the residents and the forward thinking music
they heard every Friday night.

It was the move to the Camden Palace that saw the introduction of the world's
biggest guest DJ’s and Pele joining the ranks as the new resident replacing Craig.

And let’s not forget the birthdays where Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto, Armin and Ferry
brought 3000 Peach faithful to their knees.

And nobody in London clubland that will forget that tearful night on the 30th
of January 2004 when the Camden Palace closed it’s doors to Peach
for it’s very last Friday night.

Even at that time-Cream, Gatecrasher and Gods Kitchen had all gone monthly,
yet Peach continued to deliver virtually capacity crowds week in week out. The short lived move to Studio 33 in South London was the only mistake that Peach ever made, but every cloud has a silver lining, and it brought us a new resident in the shape of PK.

For The People…

Peach was THE club that spawned thousands of friendships that have lasted to this day.

It was also THE club that an untold amount of clubbers will tell you it was what got them
into the scene. Many still shed tears when they talk about the effect Peach had on their lives.

Peach in 2007…

So fast forward 3 years to March 2007.
Thanks to a new brand owner with a vision and investment to bring Peach back to life
and to make it the global phenomenon it always could have been, the relaunch at our
new home-Heaven in London’s Charing Cross was an outstanding success.

Transforming Heaven into a true clubbers paradise with awesome extra lighting and
lasers, dancers and production, it was originally only going to be 4 parties a year,
but the passion and the atmosphere that night proved that London clubbers wanted
their Peach back and monthly. So from June this year, that is exactly what happened.

We have put together line ups that the previous owners would never have allowed
due to financial constraints and equal to, if not better than, any that are on show
at any major brand elsewhere in the UK.

Once again, Peach brings the hottest new talent to the UK first. Filo & Peri, Aly & Fila,
Bobina, DJ Shah and Mike Shiver are just 5 big names to make their UK debut with
Peach through 2007 and that ethos will continue into 2008 and beyond.

The 14th Birthday Celebration…

Once back from your holidays you won’t want to miss the MASSIVE PEACH 14th birthday party
at Heaven London. We have loads of surprises in store, which we will announce nearer the time
but we can tell you we have the UK DEBUT of Filo & Peri - flying them in directly from the US
where they headline more shows than any other US trance artist. Plus for the first time in the UK - COSMIC GATE LIVE with special guest Kuffdam from Kuffdam and Plant, and so much more.

A Present For You…

Folowing that Peach will hold a special PEACH THANK YOU party on September 28th with a
£7 door entry for all Birthday ticket holders and £10 all others for a never to be repeated
night which will see ALL the Peach residents play the main room, just like in those
hedonistic days of the Camden Palace and PK delivering a 5-hour set in the Dakota bar.
