PUSH is the house / electro brainchild from the creators of London’s biggest summer dance festival South West Four. PUSH was set up in early 2006 as an off-shoot to mix up the finest in house, electro, breaks and originally began as a Sunday session at the infamous Whitehouse in Clapham.
PUSH had a phenomenal debut, guests included Rocky & Diesel (X-Press 2), James Zabiela, Nic Fanciulli, The Shapeshifters, Adam Freeland, Eddie Halliwell (House Set), Kid Kenobi, Fergie, Tall Paul, Krafy Kuts, Judge Jules (House Set), MYNC Project, Mike Monday, Tim Sheridan and Tom Neville. Not a bad start for a Sunday afternoon.
Eventually other events were spawned from the Sunday events such as the ‘Warehouse Sessions’ held on a Saturday afternoon with none other than Eric Prydz, Mr C and Linus Love all rocking their sell-out Shoreditch soiree.
2007 was the year PUSH surged forward with larger events celebrating the ripe old age of 1 with an Easter Sunday birthday bash at the glamorous Koko headlined by the one and only Armand Van Helden. Support came from Touché plus Cagedbaby which confirmed PUSH’s status as a major player in the house / electro world.
Summer saw one of the best boat parties you could imagine on the Thames with PUSH taking over the Ducth Master on August 11
Since 2006 PUSH has hosted numerous arenas such as Amnesia's Terrace for Cream's Opening party and Space's Red Box for ‘We Love Sundays’. Over the past two years the PUSH arena at South West Four has boasted the likes of Ibizan favourites Smokin’ Jo, Paul Woolford, Tall Paul, Oliver Lang, and Jo Mills.
After a quick recovery from the craziness that was Ibiza, PUSH soldiered on to host a room at the South West Four afterparty at Brixton Academy, playing host to Stanton Warriors, S.O.S collective and our resident Aaron Baskerville!
PUSH resident Aaron Baskerville continues to surge forward with an impressive year. Try a tour of Ibiza plus not one but two sets at this year’s South West Four along with performances alongside Mr C, Eric Prydz, Steve Lawler, Pete Tong and Armand Van Helden to name a few!
You can see Aaron play the closing set at our last event to close the year – PUSH NYE @ Koko! We’re flying in house legends Junior Jack & Kid Crème for a 3 hour NYE exclusive that promises to play all their monster hits and preview their new album. This is your chance to witness one of the biggest house acts in the world alongside Funkagenda, plus a LIVE midnight countdown from Roast Groove and a host of other DJs specifically picked to play the best soundtrack for you to bring in the New Year!
