Come on Frantic whats going on....
Unfortunately, a lot of people thought that HHA was a bit of a shambles....

The line up was lacking, why not Farley in the main room???? why not Rob Tissera for the main event, he would have rocked it, he wiped the floor at the after party.

The clue is in the event name Hard House acadamy....... why so much hard style, stop trying to be fashionable and stick to what people want.

Frantic is losing its loyalty, from what it used to be, good name djs playing good quality music, no gimmicks.

Come on Guys ............... before its too late ........

ya know what guys the end to this debate is SIMPLE;

YES - the lineup was predominantly Hardstyle

BUT; was the event called hardstyle academy?? would many of the Hard House devotees, who went expecting hard house, actually KNOWN that a lot of those DJs were hardstyle?

ya know, you call a event HARD HOUSE academy and you gotta expect a backlash when it is mainly hardstyle! ok, so frantic are moving with the times and its about the future of hard dance, but then why not ease us in gently? rather than taking a big event and just givin us one style of music for a good 80% of the night?

Its ok saying 'look at the lineup' but a lot of people i've spoken to really WERENT expecting it.... if you dont know the DJs you DONT kow what to expect!

The main room should have been split in 3 and then the other arenas should be one of each style so for example if the last hard house set in main room was whitby everyone who cam for hard house could move to the room that would be predominatly hard hosue etc etc

That makes a damn sight more sense than the way frantic did it !! an im sure there wuda been no grumbles from anyone if it had been done in this way! like i said earlier if it progressed it wuda been perfect . . . start with hard trance to get everyone going, through to hard house and then into hardstyle . . . am i the only one who thinks you want the hard, stomping music toward the end of the night?

They've been easing you in gently for the last 5 years ;)

Despite all these beliefs....Hardstyle isn't 200bpm!

Tracks like these could have been played at the beginning of a night without a problem ;-)

he started playing that godawful prodigy mix that seems to have been played at every night ive been to in the past god knows how long :/

I'm pretty sure he did a mashup and just burned it onto a disk. If there was one disk in the world that I wish would get scratched, it would be that one. It's as awful as them abba mash up's you hear in commercial clubs... in fact, why isn't he playing in commercial clubs anyway?

o well, everyone each to their own i guess. some people loved it, others not to keen. yeah new age raver, thats my point it wasnt the loving huggy kind of people at hha. not like at storm, gods, sunnis etc.

but anyway think theres more people on here that loved the event so ill stop there.

A big long argument over what is nothing more than personal taste. I dont particularly like hard style myself, i like it 'old school'. And hows this for old school - before cd decks were invented there were these funny things called vinyls. And HHA had an all-vinyl room. And in that room, how much hardstyle got played? About none? well there we go then....!
I was happy with the way the night went, as long as Frantic keep mixing up the styles, i'll keep going. And you never know - maybe the vinyl only ethic may make it to the main rooms, and i'll be happy while everyone else cries about it...!

I dont get what you mean (unless its me being blonde) the reason that hardstyle wasnt played in the vinyl room is because there were no hardstyle dj's playing there, you do get hardstyle on viny btw!!! ;)

For me I loved the lineup, thought the main room was awsome as well as the euro room!!

Like alot of people, I thought that it was fantastic that the hardstyle was played in the main room rather than hidden away in a small back room.

Thought that the atmosphere was excellent, the people were lovely and friendly and I had a fantastic night.

i just kinda feel that on sat night it took over ever so slighty! when even whitby is edging towards hardstyle..

yes agreed

aain agreed & I think the fact that it wasn't busy enough to even open the balcony shows that quite a lot of ppl didn't bother turning up

HHA is supposed to be the biggest Hard House event, so personally id prefur if it was more hard house but still it was a brilliant night

Omg! I walked into the Main Arena to see Cally & Juice at the Decks whilst hearing some serious donking! I actually began texting them asking them what the fuck they thought they were doing!!!

...Then I hear Shocker say "Make some noise for Mr Andy Whitby"!!! PHEW! They were saved...just! ;-)

Haha!
I'd hope to think I am partially responsible for some of the Hardstyle conversions over the years ;)

Talking of which mr Bailey, why aren't you signed up for Octane Vs Squelcher ? ;)
