Alright folks??

The NYE tickets were sent out today so should be in the shops by the weekend.

I'm well chuffed we've finally (after 10 yrs!) got BK. He aint gonna be doing a cheesy anthem set - its underground all the way - he's playing for us so he can dig out all the tunage he wants to play but never gets the chance to play at the big commercial hard dance events he usually booked for. Ive been playing his tunes from his very first release and I can tell u the boy's on form!!! His nu-age rave stuff is blinding - Hard, dirty and funky. When he lets rip BK is a truly awesome DJ.

We've also got Dave Randall for you techno-lovers and Schmidt doing their brilliant live breaks electro mash-up, and one of my fave tech-trance/electro jocks Nick The Kid, plus loads more - check out www.ripsnorter.co.uk/parties for the full lowdown. I'm lookin fwd to going B2B with our Dan in the Breaksnorter room - he's shit hot and always pulls off some wicked mixes.

We're gonna cover the outdoor area so you can go outside whatever the weather. And we'll have fire performers doing their thing on the terrace.

The decor crew are on their 2nd day of transforming the Blue Mountain into a UV jungle wonderland - the outdoor area is already covered and is lookin mint. The main room rig's being sound-checked right now, and the TurboSound rig is going in at noon tomorrow.

9pm – BS2 (techno-trance)

11pm – Greg Zogg (tech-trance-psy)

12.15am – DJ Pod (nu-rave/psytrance)

A pleasure matey. Only just got back to normal these last few days. That was mint. NYE can be a funny one. Everyone gets hyped up, and too fucked, too early etc but apart from the power cuts (sorry folks!) this was peachy. Im stoked. There were loads of people on both floors at 5am - anyone go to Frogz after? Aint heard anything much back yet...

By the way, a couple of peeps have said theyre not into the hard, techno/trance played by the likes of Dave Randall and Greg Zogg in the main room and would prefer to hear more melody in the music. What do you reckon folks? We know alot of Rippers are into psy but I dont want Ripsnorter parties to become yet another SW psytrance party - but Im up for positive feedback...

just seen this, it depends i guess everyones different, but the thing about ripsnorter 2 me is usually its one of the only nights i can go 2 listen 2 harder underground styles of hard house/nrg/techno. everywhere else is just cheese/trance. you cant go wrong with the likes of od404/ dave the drummer/ dave randall/ mik cree etc etc but thats just my opinion!! but please stay with it just 4 me!!

Id like to have a decent underground venue with multiple rooms so we could have a seperate room for the NRG/hardtrance stuff and the techno (like the Depot/Level). I dont wanna ditch the breaks and electro cos it goes down so well at Ripper. I love the Blue Mountain, esp the outdoor bit, but it does limit us a bit musically.

yeh, lakota/ clockwork in my opinion the only good clubs in briz but seem certain to both shut this year, wheres that gonna leave us!! how about the sk8 and ride? nice place with the 2 indoor rooms and the outdoor bit which u can cover over and its nice 2 chill out the back too? by the way when/what is the next snorter night? cheers
