What is SICK! ON THE DANCEFLOOR?

Press:

Sick! On The Dancefloor: Without doubt the most popular upfront electro house night in London right now. For the past two years SOTD have been pushing the boundaries with their unadulterated and unique sound, with guests that include Micky Slim, Stupid Fresh, Olivier Giacomotto, Loose Cannons and residents Andy Burby, Dominic Clark, Will Bailey, Ed Kane there’s no doubt to why they have sold out every major venue in London and abroad from SeOne to Pacha and The Egg. A new year and a more expansive music policy expect this is to get SICK!

2am Parties

"Hooking up with the Sick On the Dancefloor boys has been a long time coming! Stupid Fresh, Escobar & Vito and myself will be playing loads of forthcoming Bomb Squad releases, so see you on the dancefloor- it's gonna be Sick!" Micky Slim

Dj Mag (Top 10 nights in London)

Sick! On the Dancefloor presents Stupid Fresh
While the name sounds less than appetising, this party is sick, as in good, not as in spew. You following? A filthy night, Sick! has taken London Bridge club SEOne and smothered it in dirty electro, minimal house and house. Leeds knob-fiddlers Stupid Fresh are on the line-up. They're a couple of lads somewhat discovered by Aussie Hook n Sling, who found their track Ho on their MySpace site and used it on his Chew The Fat! compilation. These guys' tunes will have you grinding it like a cup of Lavazza
.

TNT Magazine

Sick! isnt the most charmingly named clubnight in Leeds but it promises to leave electro lovers with a pleasant taste in the mouth. A collaboration between Purrfect Electro and London mash-up Sick! the knees-up at Mission will keep fans of the genre dancing with jump-up electronic beats.

METROLife

Sick! Is fast becoming one of the Capital’s top nights of electro/house debauchery, where all and sundry are united through the power of the bass.

PlanetNotion.com

S!otD call themselves the 'new forces of upfront electro in London' and we're not disagreeing. guests on the night Filthy Rich, Will Bailey and Ed Kane churn out hard hitting electro and dirty bass-driven house alongside the Sick! residents at this gargantuan venue.

Timeout

To be completely honest , there isn't a night like this anywhere on the electro house scene at the moment, in terms of music or atmosphere. They really are that good. Sick has it's own unique, energetic style of driven electro and one of the friendliest party vibes this side of Ibiza.

IDj Mag

"Sick! On the Dancefloor exploded onto the electro house scene in 2006 and is now being hailed as one of the best electro parties in London. We are very pleased to be teaming up with them and they will be taking control of the main room."

IN BED WITH SPACE

Despite being a subpromotion on the night and having a relatively small room at the back of the club, by midnight they had the ENTIRE club packed into their room, leaving the 'main' room completely empty, despite having a headline act that would top the bill at any night."

"Entering the Sick! room had the same electricity as walking out into the stands at your favourite football team's ground as a kid. There was a sea of happy smiling clubbers all with hands in the air, bouncing in unison to every dirty tune the Dj was throwing down and my God was the music dirty! Relentless, cranking, driven electro that made you want to bite your bottom lip off."

RPM Magazine

"A twelve hour marathon of dirty twisted funky house and filthy electro, Sick! is a relatively new night that is fast building a reputation as THE place to be on a Sunday night."

"You kind of feel like you're privy to a best kept secret"

"Polysexual partying at it's best."

Mixmag's BIG QUESTIONS with seriously hot producers I:AM

I:AM is a fresh breed of DJ/Producers coming out of London, making serious waves since they burst onto the house music scene at the end of 2007. Through a combination of silky production skills and uplifting DJ sets, I:AM are fast becoming one of the most exciting acts in electronic music right now.

Mixmag's BIG QUESTIONS with DnB legend, High Contrast

The name High Contrast needs no introduction anymore; though when a young Lincoln Barrett signed on the dotted line back in 2000 he was a complete unknown. Signed on the strength of his mini-disc demos, the Welsh wonder has smashed his way through the D’n’B scene and to chart success in a blink of an eye.

Mixmag's BIG QUESTIONS with Jokers of the Scene

Ottawa's Jokers Of The Scene made the leap from party DJs to producers simply by working with what they knew best: the most mind-meltingly intense parts of dance music throughout history, from ecstatic big room house buildups to hyper-distorted electro basslines and the lighthearted samples of 90s techno, all thrown in a blender at 130 BPM.

Mixmag's BIG QUESTIONS with Drum and Bass heavyweights, Cyantific

In a Strangely blurred area of South West London on Google maps, there are reports of tech, funk and breaks well above normal levels. In regular djing trips outside of the compound Cyantific has leaked more and more space age material.

Mixmag Night & Day Headliners...

Mixmag’s ‘Night and Day’ sees the world’s biggest dance music and clubbing magazine take over the full 6 room partying capacity of London’s Egg club and outdoor garden for a lengthy session of the smart beats, cool clubbers and just a smidgen of sleep deprived madness next bank holiday weekend.
