I thought Luminar weren't doing outside bookings at weekends any more, that's why Slinky had to leave Liquid/Envy. Have they gone back on their word?

I do understand everyones reserves about Slinky in Southampton. I dont think I have ever had a trouble free time out in Soton so usually avoid at all costs.

Never had any problems in Southampton and to be frank the Ikon/Oceana venue is better suited (if it is still as it was back in 2002) than the harsh lighting of Portsmouth's Liquid and Envy used by Slinky previously.

This proper fucks my plans though for that weekend. Arse!

It was refurbished last year to become Oceana, and the high ceiling is no longer there, the balcony is now the VIP.

Guys, I've been down to the venue and it will be awesome... trust me.. The main room holds just over a 1200 and so I am expecting it rammed!... It will be no different to when we used Liquid in Portsmouth and we never had any trouble there with beer boys. Please bear in mind this is a Friday so not the normal crowd out on the town.

I think its possible. I always thought that Southampton could be a good location to host a dance event as its very central to other towns/citys that Slinky followers come from.

This will deffo be an amazing night and I have no doubt that the place will be rammed. Doesn't matter about beer boys as there are beer boys when Slinky does the Opera House so it shouldn't be a problem. Woop!

cant beleave u guys having slinky at the ice house its ok for pop music and that but not for big brand like slinky opera house is ten times better and i have been to all 3 and liquid in pompey is lot bettter then ice house in southampton ice house dance floor is no bigger then my living room.
