Had my camera taken at the door- not happy about that! i was told that they had official pro's on site, so where are the pic's? had so many friends and aquantances to photo and got cut off at the door. so why was everyone in there snapping away happily-and at least one girl had an SLR too! what gives!!!! I had a fun night, but that was a big letdown for me.... sorry peeps-snap you nex time.

sorry to hear that - what a completely out of touch policy - did they confiscate every phone that can take snaps?

IMO they need to get back in touch with reality - this is a credit crunch - more likely you were going to just take pics of your friends etc.

they need to be searching for guns and knives not camera's

dont worry folks, im an old campaigner, so next time i'll be ready to head off all that sh.. at the pass! will def be phoning ahead to pave the way in future. it can only be good for all!

i really didnt see much of the official guy- hope there are some good pics out here soon.

pic taking is no longer fully policable at events due to phones and other small tech.

but apart from all of that - everyones pics of the night promote the event.

i am actually grateful to ravers taking pics at my events - as i dont have time and often they are more spontanious shots taken

I can't comment on the exact circumstance of your night, but some clubs do consider DSLR's as professional cameras.

They may not want them there as they have thier own togs, believe it ruins the atmosphere, respect the privacy of their clubbers, or perhaps it's just policy set by senior managament.

Next time check with the club before you go, that way if you can't take it in, then at least you don't worry about it all night long.

...what happened did they take it off u on the dancefloor, cos u had it then when i took a snap of u...or maybe that was the end of the night..anyway the place is lame up 2big 2packed..and not everybody there..where soulheaven followers..and drinks...well..4pounds a drink...i got 2doubles of rum an coke...16pounds...i was ready 2run in the crowd..and mingle my way from the bar..but the girl was fast..came straight back 2me in a matter of seconds with her hand out...shit!!i had 2gals beside me that i was buyin drinks 4...so i had pull out my last 20note.....geeeee thats life.

Uh-huh, thats how it was jacks. thing is, if they had a problem with me snapping say, India or something, i would've happily complied - my focus is us, the paying punter who wants a flattering memory and a goood time. i try an do both!

For a roaming free spirit like myself, i dont mind the size of a building. Your point about it being too packed tho is echoed by others- i couldn find hardly anyone, and there must've been 40 peeps i knew were in there but couldnt find!! i retreated to the top floor, which turned out to be the best decision i made... apart from limiting my drink! sorry Jacks, know what you mean mate.

I will definately be in contact with all concerned at any events i go to with the big cam in future. im not easily put off..... Hmmm, Fabric people not in live with DSI? hope not...
