With his incredible versatility and constant innovation, Technikal (Alf Bamford) is one of the most respected and successful producers in the hard dance world. His extensive back catalogue of produced records are viewed by his fans and peers as some of the very foundations of hard dance music today. Yet still, Technikal strives to push the boundaries of what is expected from a dance floor hit. Incorporating influences from far flung places whilst combining them with the conventional, he has created a unique and club destroying sound of his very own, and is responsible for some of the biggest hard dance records of recent years.

With an amassing interest in dance music, Alf began dabbling in the world of music production at a very early age. He had his first record signed at the age of seventeen and has gone on to sell hundreds of thousands of records across the world. Still in his early twenties now, it is fair to say that Alf has written more records and has experienced more success than most other music producers would in a life time.

Having worked with some of the biggest and best names in the business such as Lisa Lashes, BK, Rob Tissera, Lost Witness, and many, many more; it is fair to say that Alf's production talents and ideas are some of the most sought after in the industry.

Since 2005, Technikal has also established himself as an internationally performing DJ. Kicking off his DJ career at Heat's Evolution Birthday event (The Fridge) he has since been around the world numerous times, performing as far and wide as Australia, South Africa, North America, Sweden, Norway, The Netherlands, and many more. This goes hand in hand with having performed at the biggest and best festivals the world has to offer, including Dance Valley, Impulz, Global Gathering, Creamfields, Planet Love and many more.

A favourite amongst the pages of high end music publications, Mixmag have given Technikal numerous full page features in the previous years, mentioning him in the same breath as artists such as Deadmau5, sean Tyas and Chase & Status; whilst also deeming him one of the 'Best of 2008'.

It's unheard of for someone so young to conquer a dance music scene in such a short space of time, but Technikal's production and DJ prowess is too mighty for the outcome to be anything less than this.

Cally Gage and Lucy Fur ready to rock Koko for Frantic 14

Cally Gage and Lucy Fur are getting excited about their main room set at Koko this Sunday for Frantic’s 14th Birthday. Check out the interview below to find out more about their history with Frantic and what you can expect from their set.

B2T to throw 6th Birthday party for free

It could be one of the craziest gambles the Birmingham club scene has ever witnessed, but Birmingham based hard house brand Bounce 2 This (B2T) is to celebrate it's 6 years of throwing events this Saturday by giving clubbers a free event. Most promoters may choose to use a birthday celebration as a cash cow to boost the takings, but promoter Dave Gregson has decided to take a very diffrent approach in aid of growing the Birmingham club scene.

When we asked Dave for the reasoning behind the decision his comments were, 'We recognise that times are tough, and a birthday should be something that all clubbers that have supported us can celebrate. However, we also want to try and grow the birmingham clubbing scene and get people inviting new faces to our birthday party. We've done our bit by making the night free in such a huge venue like the HMV Institute, but it now comes down our supportes to help bring new people to our dance scene'.

The event takes place on Saturday at The HMV Institute, Birmingham, full details can be found HERE
