Next week the ADE kicks off in Amsterdam. A whole host of club nights, events and seminars take place in the beautiful Dutch capital. If you're thinking of going we've got Pete Hook's Top 10 ways to survive a music conference to help you...

1. Make sure someone else pays for you.
2. Always get steaming drunk before your panel.
3, Be sure to make a name for yourself. (see above about getting drunk)
4. Never network! You’re worth more than that.
5. Don’t be a prostitute! (see above about networking).
6. Be sure to have a fight in the bar!
7. Don’t go and see any bands.
8. Steal everything you can!
9. Get barred from the next one!
10. Congratulations, by following those nine tips, you have become another Peter Hook.
