Tomorrow night - The Gallery part of the 18th Birthday Weekender for Ministry of Sound - Interviews, Set Times and much more
Ministry of Sound is 18 years old this weekend and to help celebrate this milestone we at The Gallery are kicking off their Birthday weekender on Friday 25th September with a mother of all line-ups!! Very few brands and clubs enjoy the worldwide recognition and acclaim that Ministry of Sound enjoy. To help blow the candles out on this monumental birthday cake we have invited a typical Gallery line-up of legends to kick start the weekend in style. First up is the much talked about Boy George, joined by Gallery regular and Radio 1 jock Judge Jules, Gallery main man Tall Paul and residents Gavyn Mytchel and The Viceroy round off the Box.

The Birthday bash gets bigger still as The Bar is hosted by those nutters at Grin Recordings with two very special headline guests in the shape of King Roc and Deepgroove. Both DJs are long-time Gallery favourites and it’s great to have them back in the groove this Friday night! Grin residents Jack Michaels, James Edwards, Mark Batch, Yiannis Balkizas and Chris Canning get in on the Birthday action too, leaving the ever brilliant Plastic Fondu to keep it going in The Loft, whilst Evissa tear up the Baby Box! Happy Birthday Ministry, 18 years young!!

Check out Data transmissions new mobile webite at dtsmall.mobi on your phone. If you find the gallery's listing there is a special mobile concession flyer which will get you in cheaper if shown at the door.. Happy hunting!

INTERVIEW

***JUDGE JULES
What did you do to celebrate your 18th Birthday?
My friends arranged a surprise drag party for me.

What song / track sticks in your mind from when you were 18 (can be chart / dance / anything)?
New Order- Blue Monday

And finally whats your birthday message and advice to Ministry of Sound on its 18th Birthday?
Keep it legal...

***TALL PAUL
What did you do to celebrate your 18th Birthday?
Where else could it be but Turnmills. Invited the whole mob down.

What song / track sticks in your mind from when you were 18 (can be chart / dance / anything)?
The tune of the moment then was Voodoo Ray- A guy called Gerald, blew my socks off.

And finally whats your birthday message and advice to Ministry of Sound on its 18th Birthday?
Nice to see a club still around that you watched and grew up with. Still and great space and sound experience and Im glad where part of it...

***MATT HARDWICK
What did you do to celebrate your 18th Birthday
I went to a club night in sunny Sheffield called the Jam Factory I remember it well, sasha and dave seaman played. Italian house was massive at the time (hands in the air!)

What song / track sticks in your mind from when you were 18 (can be chart / dance / anything)
Something like Gat Decor - passion. That was huge and used to regularly get the accapella treatment.

And finally whats your birthday message and advice to Ministry of Sound on its 18th Birthday
Well done for making it and long may your success continue...

***THE VICEROY
What did you do to celebrate your 18th Birthday?
I was still at school preparing for my A Levels, I went to one of these boarding schools in the middle of nowhere so we went for a curry in the local town - a fucking shocking way to celebrate my coming of age i admit!! Iv been making up for it since though I promise you!!!

What song / track sticks in your mind from when you were 18 (can be chart / dance / anything)?
I remember around my birthday that Peter Andre re-released Mysterious Girl and that Cha Cha Slide track were big - some truly terrible music!!!.

I had decks in my room at school and was buying vinyl by mail-order each week (oh how times have changed) and remember Kyau vs Albert - Velvet Morning (Aalto Remix) being a massive track for me - in fact ill dig that out for this weekends Birthday for my final set

3And finally what’s your birthday message and advice to Ministry of Sound on its 18th Birthday
Happy Birthday MOS... keep the excellence in the art of sound... you know it makes sense!!!

***GAVYN MYTCHEL
What did you do to celebrate your 18th Birthday
I hired a local club out on a sunday night and got about 80 mates down, it was only a small venue which held around 150 but i did a flyer and arranged the djs etc.. it was the start of something that became my full time job 4 years later.

What song / track sticks in your mind from when you were 18 (can be chart / dance / anything)
I think delacy / hideaway was out then which was quite massive!

And finally whats your birthday message and advice to Ministry of Sound on its 18th Birthday
Keep building on both Friday and Saturday nights, between The Gallery and the Saturday Sessions we have 90% of the best djs in the world playing every weekend which makes Ministry one the best venues in the UK if not the world
