Oi you, yes you, ya big pumpkin... it’s time to get your deadliest freak on, cos Together’s notorious Halloween Horror Show is about to black out the sun at London’s Scala on Saturday 25th October. Our rave from the grave reaches sinister new heights this autumn as we celebrate the dawn of the dead with an unrivalled night of zombie-bashing-beats courtesy of some of the hottest bands on the planet... step forward The Horrors, CSS and Foals.
Never one to miss out on a fancy dress opportunity, the Halloween Horror Show will be Together’s first club outing since the big re-launch at Scala in June when the Ed Banger mob came, saw and conquered! Since then Together has fled to Ibiza for a rave up with Lovebox at Wonderland and packed out our own 6,000 capacity tent at the sell-out Get Loaded in the Park festival – where Gossip, Soulwax, Boys Noize and Mylo let rip.

But back to this next creepy clubland show which sees the cream of the indie-royalty step up to the table, replacing guitars for CDJs for one night only. There was only ever one band in mind to top the bill at Together’s Halloween Horror Show, and that of course is London garage rockers The Horrors - who played live at Together way back in Jan 2007 for our 1st Birthday. Last year the band hosted their very own sell out Halloween show, and with their cult look and goth inspiration we expect plenty of Horrors wannabees in attendance! Next up are the CSS gang – lead by the sassy Lovefoxx. ‘Let’s Make Love and Listen to Death From Above’ remains a dancefloor classic of recent years and their stage show is as colourful as their leading lady’s catsuits! Like The Horrors, CSS will be DJing on the night, so expect a typically eclectic and electronic mix! Completing this indie DJ hat-trick will be Foals – one of the most hyped bands of the past 5 years. Their debut album ‘Antidotes’ reached no.3 in the UK Album Charts and they’ve gone onto play just about every major music festival ever since. The band plays live at their own sell-out headline show at Brixton Academy in October, and continue to enhance their reputations as one of the hottest bands around. Together last saw Foals DJ earlier this year at our 2nd Birthday at Turnmills and they blew us away... so we can’t wait to get ‘em back again for this haunting Halloween affair.
Together’s resident rockers Streetlife DJs represent the home team, as they bring their riotous multi-deck mash-ups to the main room floor. We’ve always known how good these guys are and now it seems everyone else is on their case, with a recent Essential Mix and Mini-Mix (both Radio 1) supporting their production credentials such as their Kitsune-signed ‘We Love the Disco Sound’. We also welcome former guest Bastard Batty Bass’s Hannah Holland to rinse it up in her infectious way, alongside rising south London crew Deadly Rhythm Club who bring their ruckus beats to decks for their Together debut. Elsewhere on the night, Together has teamed up with some of London’s favourite new promoters to make the night one big happy (or should that be horrific?) family. Grin Records take on Twisted Peach in the Balcony Bar upstairs with DJs Tristan D, Jack Michaels, James Michaels, Armin K, James Edwards, Mark Batch, Yiannis Balkizas and Pele on the 1’s and 2’s. Also look out for a special live set from the NME-tipped The Mouth – who play live. Over in the VIP Room RPM Events welcome Bigger than Jesus, Rainbow Rob, Greg Dance, Blend DJs plus residents, whilst Funk Deluxe get busy downstairs in the Balcony Bar with heavy rotation of DJs featuring Tristan Ingram, Adam Symbiosis, Egoiste, Jon Kong, Simon Williams, Drusif, Glenroy Vs Daytona and Stu Exall Vs Chris N.
No Together party would be complete without a bunch of silly shit to give the night its traditional festival feel... and with it being Halloween n’ all we’ve gone to town on the production to give our ghoulish guys and girls the right heebie jeebies!! Combine that with Free (horror) Haircuts - courtesy of stylish cutters Pimps & Pinups from Shoreditch, Free (zombie-fied) Face Painting – thanks to Jazzy Faces, some Blood Punch at the bar, a whole bunch of Scary Movies and a full blown Halloween fancy dress theme... and you’ve got all the makings for the maddest night of your life.
