Well to put it bluntly some shiftiness 'a gwarn' with the first party at Centro, this was a Ny-lon Events evening feat Duma Sound System, Tiger Stripes and Cassette Jam amongst others including myself.

A good friend of mine designed all of the promotional material and booked all of the acts for the lounge/bar area, many of whom had to travel from way up North. Luckily enough im not gonna cry about £100 and a dodgy cab back to East London, but some of our lads got fully stitched up, tavelling down south to get less playing time than promised, having the DJ's guests refused entry without payment when all non-paying guests had been confirmed in advance, and then bunted out of the club with no cash to face a depressing trip back to the North without even the memories of a decent party to keep their chins up.

The agreement was directly with Ny-Lon, and all work completed as per quoted prices.

Needless to say monies have still not changed hands. Ny-Lon firstly shifted all blame to A-List and the Centro gang (which is irrelevant. as its Ny-lon who are in an agreement with our little firm !), now they are not responding to us at all.

Ny-lon have a CCJ on their ass, and a less than happy rabble of experienced performers who will not be singing their praises rest assured.

Caution is advised working with any involved and receipt of monies up fron (fat chance!) is recommended!

Rant over
