Toolroom Records arrived in 2003 with the main aim of releasing quality 'house music' by new and well established artists and producers in the music industry. The independant dance label has been set up and is handled by people who are close to the scene and passionate about the music. “We recognised the need for quality ‘new music’ in a scene that was lacking new initiatives and innovation, we are about fresh, world class talent and cutting edge music”
Steve Lawler has called Mark Knight “The best producer on the planet”, Pete Tong has labeled him “The man of the moment” and the inaugural House Music Awards nominated him for best breakthrough producer. From Tom Neville “Buzz Junkie” To Dubfires "Roadkill" Toolroom Records has firmly established itself within the market.

Toolroom Knights The Club Tour:
The night, based around the label’s and Mark’s distinctive sound will bring the underground sound of Toolroom Records to the overground, hosting parties at key venues across the UK and Europe, creating a unique party atmosphere that so many ‘nerdy label-nights’ lack. This is a night that will push the musical boundaries of a scene that often fails to recognise new talent – exposing ‘leaders of the new school!
As Mark explains: Toolroom Knights is a showcase of fresh talent on the Toolroom roster, DJ’s and producers who consistently top charts in DJ Download & Beatport, which are true indicators of what’s happening now.
It’s a chance for the new generation to connect with the stars of today and not yester year! For us it’s all about fresh talent and cutting edge music!
Toolroom Knights kicked off with a bang at the Amsterdam Dance Event on Saturday the 21st October 2006, hosting their launch at the Powerzone Club to a packed out rapturous crowd.
The tour continues with events at Ministry of Sound London, Sankey’s Manchester, Prominence Bristol, Discotheque Leeds, Honeyclub Brighton & an Australian tour, Cape Town, Miami & More..
