Who Built That House? is DJ/Promoter collective from the North West who have been hosting nights together since 2003. Originally created by Sy Lyon he soon joined forces with Phil Caine to promote their first night "SoulFunk" which showcased thier upfront blend of Soulful American House and US Garage. The night went from strength to strength and developed a following of around 200 local clubbers!

From then on the parties just got bigger and better with the introduction of “Underground DJ’s”, a tougher night of Electro and Techno (Largely pushed by Phil Caine). The two nights have been hosted at many venues including PG's Bar, Chambers Wine Bar, The Lounge, Bar Cairo, Ramsdens, The Cry, The Cav (Dalton), Clancy's (Ulverston), Mint (Kendal) and Joy Bar (Manchester) but to name a few!!

In Jan 2006 they decided to re-locate to Manchester to further their careers. Ironically once moving to Manchester they got the opportunity to play at The Canteen (Barrow) which was the biggest venue to date. Never one to turn down an opportunity they agreed to the challenging event and it was aptly named “philosifunk”. The night acted as a middle ground to their identities appealing to their faithful following and more mainstream clubber alike. Due to the contacts Sy had made whilst in Manchester they decided to book high profile DJs for the first time. The line up included Paul Wilkins (Hed Kandi) and Jon Constantine (Kujay Da Da). The event was a definite success and got great media coverage, as always!

Unfortunately for Sy, half way through the year Phil chose to move back to Cumbria as he is now a daddy! Subsequently Phil has branched off on his own to promote "Underground" however Sy often shows his support and lends a hand! Moving forward 2006 ended with a bang with Sy landing a new venue, The Empire with a new night "House Music". Xmas day night was rockin' with like minded hedonists and the night enjoyed a well supported summer season of events.

2007 saw the revival of "SoulFunk". After having taken a back seat last year to push the electronic music scene "SoulFunk" was back in style at a new venue Bar Five and definitely brightened up everyone's summer with more classic feel good tracks! Also on a revival theme a new night was introduced “Retrospect” which brought a blend of house classics for six parties over the summer at The Empire.

With the increased electro edge earlier in the night at "House Music" it was decided to give all things electronic a night of their own and "Electric Kitchen" was served! The first event was at The Empire and definitely whipped up an electric recipe with plenty of digital flavour and one hell of a kick.

In June Head Honcho Sy Lyon relocated to Lancaster due to the demands of WBTH? events in the area. Sy Lyon also made his Ibiza debut in August playing for La Vita at Hush and received great accolades from the promoters and he is set to play for them again in 2008.

In October the "SoulFunk" revival continued with its first weekly residency in Lancaster at Mood, one of the hottest student bars in the city! October also brought a new residency for “Electric Kitchen” at Cuba (Lancaster) which featured special guests John Kelly, Krysko (Warehouse Project), Miss Divine (La Vita) and the areas finest up and coming talent. Plus Dancers, Stilt Walkers, Fire Performers and Angle Grinders provided by Untouched. 2008 prompted a change for Who Built That House? at Cuba replacing “Electric Kitchen” with a self entitled night and a celebration of House Music! An eclectic blend across the whole spectrum of House with more visual shenanigans to add to the party!
