I have been following the `vote for clodhopper` thread a little...might pop over and say hello.

I knew they did D&B but it is only recently I`ve heard about the other stuff. It is a totally different venue being smaller and `the place out the back` rather than a full venue so it can be full up with a lot less people.

There are about 40,000 people living around here, I`m sure there is enough business for everyone if we have a choice of places to go!

I`m not going to `dis` the Barn or Club Rouge, they do what they do and we do what we do. we get along OK as Mike, myself and a few others have worked for Mike B. the owner in the past and we have worked with most of their doorstaff before at Churchills and other places.

I was only curious Ash, you will never find me putting anyone else down to promote our own events, I would be happy if they both succeed. Not my style to follow the expected route of saying everything else is crap.....unless it is crap then I`ll say it!

Yeah! I worked there for quite a while as a doorman/bouncer/security/door supervisor or whatever we were called that week!

It certainly.......ermm...had it`s moments! I used to take at least one spare dress shirt to work (2 on a Saturday pay weekend!) for when the first one inevitably got blood on it.

The art was in making sure it wasn`t your own blood ;-)

Straight into cold salty water soak then treat with Vanish soap the next day if you get blood on your clothes. I am something of an expert on the subject!
