It seriously was, ive heard a few of Dixon's sets and they've always rather downtempo and minimally to start with and as progressing into more upbeat techno and minimal, still decent none the less but when i went to see him play at sonar i thought i knew what to expect but he completly blew me away by playing some of the best tech and prog house ive heard in ages, to say i was pleased would be an understatement. :-)

i have to wholeheartedly agree with you! never really got into dixon's mixes, but seeing him at sonar he was brilliant. was definitely one of teh best things i saw at the night festival. the whole innervisions showcase was pure brilliance for two and a half hours, and was definitely my highlight. took away the bad taste of the ed banger showcase the previous night. saturday on the whole was so much better than the friday, with damian schwartz, the M-nus showcase, radio slave, and especially ame, they were astounding i thought. shame miss kittin couldn't live up to them though, ame should have played til the sunrise. sonarpub is possibly my fave place to be in the world, ever! richie hawtin and villalobos last year, and innervisions in 07! i love it.
