MN2S Opening Party Smash!

This article is about MN2S Pre Party @ Bora Bora in Ibiza (Spain), Sun 25 Jun 2006

Fidgeting in the London office of MN2S we anxiously awaited news about the success of the opening party for our first summer residency. Our directors incommunicardo, we began to think they had become lost in a haze of brights lights and Ibiza sun. Either that or the whole Ibiza MN2S crew had been wiped out in a freak banana boat accident.

However, at some point on Tuesday news began to leak through. Reports started coming in and the verdict was fantastic. MN2S' 13-stage assault on Ibiza had begun with force welcoming punters from around the world to their first ever monster Ibiza party. Despite fears that the overwhelming success of El Divino's Hed Kandi opening party the night before would deminuish the numbers, MN2S followers were there in their hoards and the dancefloor remained sweaty until the sun came up across the port. Pre-parties across the Island at Bora Bora, Zoo, Tango and Coastline were bustling, recieving praise from all those who attended.

Back at the club and MN2S Ibiza resident CJ Mackintosh started the night off nicely, building the crowd up with his tight mixing and intimate knowledge of what works on the dancefloor. Todd 'The God' Terry rocked the spot during his set. His driving, no-holds-barred mix opened up the floor and everybody was going crazy, testament to his reputation as one of House Music’s pioneers

It was down to Cassius to carry the night into the morning. He shifted things up a gear during his closing set. Shifting to more electro, French-influence house, he had the MN2S crowd grinding into Monday morning.

El Divino was looking magnificent. The dressing team totally transformed the club and MN2S’s presence on the Island was unavoidable, thanks in part to the presence of a massive 5 metre cubed inflatable outside El Divino, which was the topic of much conversation!

Onwards and upwards!

CLUBBERS BEWARE!!!

sorry Laura K, i have to disagree. I'm going to shoot your PR flying machine down in flames
:o( ......PR trips are what ruins the dance scene these days- as does toneless dull beats with no euphoria......."Pre-parties across the Island at Bora Bora, Zoo, Tango and Coastline were bustling, recieving praise from all those who attended" - erm, perhaps not! At Bora Bora the tunes were flat, and the beach was empty as i'd seen it all week.

El Divino did look terrific but then thats not what its really all about......is it......I know El Divino attracts a varied clientel (national zimmer frame championships were held this night), but i think we were the few who could actually be tagged as clubbers. false promises of free taxis, and correct entry prices were just little things that we didn't expect from this night.

Think carefully b4 reputation following....
