Stay away from Club GLAM.

Around 4:00am, on the 19th June 2008, outside club GLAM in Puerto Banus, Malaga, my boyfriend was struck by the bouncer, leaving him unconscious for 20 minutes. He was struck because we were kissing (we are an Irish gay couple) outside the club.

A local lady called the police and an ambulance, who arrived on the scene within 30 minutes, yet did nothing. The ambulance driver told us to get a taxi to the nearest hospital, and the police stood around, wrote a two line report and some laughed among themselves.

I asked what could we do, and they shrugged their shoulders and said to report it in the morning, ignoring the fact my boyfriend was on the ground. They then drove off without even asking was he ok. I am appalled that such violence is tolerated, and disgusted at the Spanish Police forces lack of consideration.
