Music : Techno
Two years ago as a group of techno enthusiasts we were disappointed with the quality of techno on offer in the city of Aberdeen. We decided to do something about it, and Dan-Sin was born. Originally designed to allow the residents to play their own unique brands of dancefloor techno, from minimal to nosebleed, melodic to tribal and everything inbetween, the night expanded to include some incredible guests. Dan-Sin debuted 4 superb DJs in Aberdeen - Valentino Kanzyani, Marko Nastic, Max Alien and Umek . We have also brought you many specials, including our 4 deck, 2 mixer extravaganzas, and who can forget our first birthday party - an atmosphere you just can't buy.
All things change however, and after 24 months of fun, frolics and bouncing, noisy dancefloors we have decided that our second birthday event on Friday 30th November at The Tunnels will be the last ever Dan-Sin. For this night, we knew that we would have to book someone extra-special, someone who is one of the most in-demand, dynamic and exciting techno djs around. We are proud to present, on both his first and last appearance at Dan-Sin, none other than the International Baron of Techno, Mr Dave Clarke. We don't need to say anything about this man - those who know will be there. Support will come from resident Brian Henderson, while in room 2 residents Sean Flesh and JD Pleks (AKA Skelp) will be playing a back2back set of all your favourite Dan-Sin tracks from the last 2 years.
The Dan-Sin crew would like to thank all the people who have contributed to the last two years of chaos and mayhem - the club staff, the door staff, the flyer distributors, the hangers-on, the crazy gang, the djs and most importantly you, the Dan-Sin crowd. Cheers, and thanks for the (hazy) memories. See you down the front for the last hurrah.
Dan-Sin - all good things must come to an end.
