i went with a whole load of my m8s just for the saturday mainly for the dnb so i werent dissappointed as the big names in there that i went for all were there n when werent them on i went elsewhere. as far as the atmosphere of the place i thought it was quite good. A lot of people i know were up there for the whole wknd n said didnt get in for hours on the friday with cockups n even when i went in saturday there was a little delay then had 2 wait inside for them to get more wristbands which is a joke didnt think ud buy less wristbands that the amount of tickets u av sold. was a bit annoyed dat de other stage broke n wiley didnt perform n heard dizzee didnt yesterday n i no off quite a few other artists n bands not performin 1 of my m8s that was ther for de whole wknd cum bk 2nite n said hes heard bout ppl not gettin paid so werent performin etc have 2 wait n c if that was true tho. All in all i was quite happy with yesterday but if i went for the whole wknd n not for the drum n bass id probably b dissappointed at de moment especially if i bought a programme for the times of when everyone is performing cos it would have been useless lol

Hi Guys,

Totally agree.

Me and my team had to wait 3 hours before set up and half of my DJ's were not allowed to enter until after a certain time.

When I arrived at my dance tent, I found our equipment was stolen (half the gear was missing including some of our stage!!) and when notified security they just kept passing the buck on. It was the worst security I have ever witnessed and the festival was badly organised. Thank god my team left early hours Sat. morning.

Yes Dizzee and a few others cancelled and there was a delay to the start of the festival All my friends were in the queue while I was searching for replacement equipment and they said ppl were not happy. It was a headache, but our tent was rockin at the end of the day.

Regards,

Having just returned from working here as part of the security team, I was supervising Campsite security dayshift, i would like to point out a few things before everyone has a pop at 'worst security ever' (which i hear at just about every festival, every company, and have done for for the last 15 years) Firstly, we were miles understaffed. This is not due to any fault of ours, we supplied all the staff we were asked to, including 2/3 extras (at our cost) in case people took ill etc. The event promoters always cut back on security and then realise on the first day they open that they require more staff. With Z008 we had no co-operation from the organisers, no site crew (that deal with fencing etc) and they wer totally at loss what to do when we asked for the toilet trucks etc to call. On the first day we were even asked what we suggested could help speed up the wristband exchange (!) hence why no-one was searched on entry to the campsite because we didnt have enough resourses to do it. So, before everyone blames us, your comments should be directed to the event organisers, not the security and stewarding staff, who in my opinion did a sterling job in one of the most testing circumstances i have ever worked in.

Hi, does anyone know how to get hold of the events organisers? I have obtained a mobile number from P/L zoo but the messaging service is full and funnily enough the contact us part of the website isn't working! This was definitely the worst festival that I've ever been to, it was a complete shambles and as for the VIP side of things what a massive rip off.... 4 toilets and two disgusting showers for the whole of the vip area, long delays getting in, acts not turning up and we had two phones and a wallet full of money stolen whilst I was asleep in the tent really not impressed!

fair play buster, i think security are always going to get a raw deal because people see more of those at a festival than they do "organisers"
